So, first - made in Vietnam. But, not bad even so. Second, the drawer locations make it difficult to get to the screws holding the legs. I would also suggest using gloves since you're going to need to get them tight with the hex (allen) wrench they provide inside the hardware pouch - as a plus, it has a wobble tip on the long end which helps when tightening. (A better solution would be a long allen to a drill - its a 4mm - you might get a 5/32" SAE to work.) And have someone with small hands help you. - If they had made the top part just a little thicker/taller it would have provided just a little more room to get your hand in there. - Now all that said, packaging was excellent - double cardboard on the outside with lots of Styrofoam packing inside. And it is all solid wood - no fiber boards. The hardware bag is clearly marked and attached to the box so you can't miss it. The drawer handles are even attached to the inside of the drawers for shipping and there's a ribbon tied to one of the two screws on each to pull the drawers out. The screws that hold the legs on have thread locking compound on them. No instructions but assembly should be obvious. I paid $250.00 which was a fair value, I would say. ... show more

After I put it together, I ended up taking it apart, boxing it up, and returning this table because the item description was way off from the actual product. See picture: It is not "white" the prominent color is gray, with a whitewash. It is very distressed - but the distress was just the screw holes from the manufacturer building it. The top part of the table looks like floor planks put together. Otherwise, it is very well made and was overall easy to put together. - just the location of one of the screws on each leg was a pain to tighten. I had been stalking this coffee table for a long time on Ashley's site and they stop carrying it online and in stores. I was so happy to find it on Amazon. I had watched the price sky rocket up to over $500 but then saw it for around $300 on Prime so I purchased it immediately. It is beautiful, very heavy and sturdy and has tons of room for game day or any other day food! Also, the bottom level is great for storing our board games, extra books or moving decor out of the way when the table is in use. It is a perfect compliment to our off-while linen living room group and it really stands out. Take note that this piece does have some areas where it is not exactly finished due to the beautiful aged looked of it so sweaters or other items could snag on it or you could get small splinters. This coffee table reads as a gray white, not a warm white. I love that it took less than 20 minutes to assemble and is VERY sturdy! I like having a lower shelf for putting things that might read as clutter but still easy to reach. The drawers are very handy for stowing remotes, magnifier glasses, etc for those things you want to put away but have easy access to. I was not bothered by the purposeful nail holes that add to the rustic vibe. I use a feather duster to clean so easy. ... show more

I saw this at Ashley Home Store for $400+. Decided not to buy it. Then I saw it here on Amazon for $299. Really glad I didn't buy it at Ashley. I saved $100 purchasing it from Amazon. It's very heavy so dragging it to my living room was a bit of a task but once I got it out of the box, it was SUPER easy to put together. Took me about 15 minutes from start to finish. Absolutely my best purchase of about the thousand Amazon purchases I have made to date!!! I was a bit hesitant when the package arrived because it looked like it was returned, bangs and tears on the box that I was almost certain it was damaged. It was not. It was perfect, but yes really heavy. Even my husband had a really hard time getting it in the house and he lifts everything!!! The table is solid. It is perfectly big. It is black, but with the antiquing it can look really dark brown, BUT IT IS BLACK. My couch is beige with dark brown legs.
