I bought this January 9,2023. It sat in the box until just a few days ago (August 16th,2023) because I thought it would be a hard assembly. Opened the box and boom! Pretty easy! The hardest part was figuring out the legs under the lift part-which is already attached. It probably explains assembly but at time of purchase, I was buying to replace furniture from a fire and I didn’t move in until a month later. But, I love it! This is a great desk! It’s a lot prettier than others I found and I love the lift feature for when I’m tired of sitting. Assembly itself was pretty simple and didn’t take very long. My one qualm with this product is that it weighs a million pounds. It probably took me 30 minutes to get it inside and to the room I was putting it in. When I was putting on the legs, the whole desk ended up falling over and actually put a fist size hole in the wall :) Granted, I was being impatient and should’ve just waited for help. Just make sure that if you have it standing up longways, you have someone holding the desk when the plastic is cut off of the center because that’s why mine ended up falling over. To assemble two of the legs, you need the lift to come up so you can screw in the legs. When the plastic was cut, the whole desk fell. All in all, don’t try to assemble or lift this by yourself unless you’re reallyyyy confident that you could catch it if it started to fall. Very good packaging for shipping. That was a surprise. The desk is sturdy. The stand up desk position works well. It is a set height so be sure of your measurements foe your needs. I purchased the lift-top version from Amazon Warehouse. It was listed as "Used - Very Good - Looks and functions as if it were new. Item may not come in original packaging." Delivery was by Amazon. The desk showed up with cosmetic, functional and structural damage. It was missing more than half of its basic hardware (screws, bolts, etc.). And, while the top of the desk was there, it did not come with any of the lift-top stuff. I contacted Amazon customer support. They issued a refund. The desk is beautiful. The pieces seem sturdy. I plan to repurchase the desk. I just hope it shows up in the appropriate number of pieces this time! ... show more

It’s a beautiful desk. Enough space for 2 monitors and a small laptop. The only thing is if you like storage the one drawer is functional is small (the other drawer doesn’t open because it’s a lift top) And be careful with the finish. I don’t eat on this desk or do any thing other than use the computer for work and I noticed a spot where the finish came off. Literally happened over night. When I went to log in to the computer I saw a sticky spot that looked like sap and when I wiped it off it apparently was part of the finish. Hopefully it doesn’t continue to happen. It is a beautiful desk but that's about it. If you are gonna get it, get the one that is not liftable. The lifting option is not reliable. As some other reviews said, it doesn't stay up unless it's all the way up and honestly doesn't feel sturdy. Also mine doesn't close shut flush so I have to use force to shift it shut every time. I probably will not end up using the lift function which is the main reason I bought this desk. Also, there is barely any storage space, especially if you get the lifting one. The main drawer is only decorative in this version due to the fact that the drawer space is occupied by the metals that are used to lift the desk up. This really defeats the function of the design because the main drawer was supposed to be intended for the keyboard in the other non lifting version. The height of the desk is pretty high to accommodate this keyboard drawer. Since I don't have the keyboard drawer, I have to put the keyboard on the desktop and since it's so high, it puts strain on my shoulders and wrists. Just in the last few min when I was writing this review, I am experiencing tenseness in these areas. I would have considered returning it but it's so heavy and already assembled so I won't bother with it. If you still want to buy it, buy the non lifting one and on amazon bc they have great customer service if you have any issues. ... show more
