I am that person who researches for a long time before I purchase anything, especially online! I searched high and low and decided this was the one! I have this as a coffee table in my living room, it is perfect height and size with my grey reclining couches. It would also work with other couches (its NOT a tiny coffee table) This one has the outer decorative hardware on both sides so it doesn’t look like either side is the back (this was a bonus to me since my couch is in the middle of two full couches and I don’t have to pick a side to show off) it holds a surprisingly large amount of items inside (example:throw blankets &pillows will fit with room to spare) the top lifts smoothly without disturbing the items sitting on top of it (nice feature when you don’t want to have to move everything to get into it for your stored items inside) it looks rustic/weathered in a beautiful way. It goes with all my deco modern and rustic. It had nothing broken upon arrival, it was delivered in two days with prime. It comes almost fully assembled (screw on feet is all you will have to do) it is a nice quality of wood. When top is lifted it is perfect height to use as a dinner tray, or have a laptop in front of you. I am a super picky person when it comes to furniture! So far It meets all my requirements and I love this beautiful addition to my living space. If I had to do over I would absolutely pick this same table for my living room. No regrets! ... show more

I searched for YEARS to find this coffee table. I wanted a trunk looking one, but the ones I found weren’t big enough. I ALSO wanted a lift top. I truly thought I had to choose between these two things. Then I found this baby! I spent more than I wanted to, but I seriously searched on-line, stores, thrift stores, marketplace, all the places. I love this end table. I can't give it 5 stars for one minor reason. Upon opening the box that was packed in a precise manor, the first table part was the lower level shelf. We didn't want to unpack any further if we didn't like the color or quality because it would have been impossible to pack this item exactly as we received it! Well, we loved the lower shelf, the legs and the detail on them. But the top shelf, which was also the most visible, had multiple "farmhouse" holes that the lower shelf didn't have. We loved it just a bit less than the bottom shelf. There were about 8 to 9 of these holes, which diminished the cleaner look that the bottom shelf had. We kept it anyway because some of the holes we could cover with the lamp and a ceramic box we keep the remotes in. The color was exactly what we were looking for, but the multiple holes on the top shelf were unnecessary. All in all, it was what we were looking for. We would have loved if it came with a few more pieces in the same wood color and strength, for instance, a credenza and we would have purchased that, but it only came with a coffee table that was too big and a style no suitable for what we needed. ... show more

When I placed my order it was saying it was in stock and had to wait about a month to get it which kind of ticked me off no lie and if I went back to the page and would look at it it would tell me I would get in a couple days which really confused me but when I placed my order it told me I would get it on a specific day almost a month later so I just stuck with it. FINALLY it came. Already assembled in the box just had to put the feet on which was a huge plus. One of the feet is a little crooked no biggie it doesn't affect how it looks. Opens and closes perfectly and the only thing that is imperfect is the random holes on top and the fact that it's not 100% even it's a little caved in here and a little caved in there on the top but I went for a farmhouse look and it fits in pretty perfectly. Very roomy inside. I'm basing my WHOLE living room off the Carynhurst series, I love it! I just HATE how long it takes to get anything I order. It's larger than our previous table, but I got used to it after one day. I downloaded the PDF for instructions from Amazon. Because I did not find the paper instructions until I emptied the entire box including the styrofoam where they were underneath. And for all asking what the plastic strips are for from the hardware kit, we realized after assembly, they are shims for the legs.
