  • Minus 1 for Price
As other's have said, there is nothing new here except the Atmos mix, which I don't have a proper setup to test. However, the new 5.1 mix is a big improvement over the DVD-A included with the Sector 3 box set- far more immersive. The real buying point here is the new artwork which looks super cool and is very high quality production- especially the 7" artwork! I don't know if we'll see any new boxes for the remaining albums, but Signals certainly deserves to have its 40th celebrated. The only issue here is the box costs twice as much as it should given that there's no new audio or archival material. At half it's current price, this would be a great buy but completists (guilty as charged) will pay for it anyway ... show more

  • Great Box Set!
Rush - The best rock band ever! This is the newest of their Super Deluxe Box Sets and it’s awesome as expected. Looking forward to the next one!

  • Nice but not great
Glad to see they did not waste time, effort and material with unnecessary stuff like in the Moving Pictures box. Great new art, decent remaster, but inconsequential 5.1 mix. Whoever did the surround mix is of course no Steven Wilson, it could have been much better but I guess something is better than nothing. This box made remember how much I love this album. It contains some of Neil Peart best drumming and definitively changed the musical direction of the band who leaned on synth and keyboards like never before. So this is a happy fan for deluxe treatment of my favorite Rush albums P.W., M.P. and Signals. ... show more

  • A luxurious edition
I own all of the Rush anniversary box sets so I knew I’d be purchasing this one as well. Many have complained that the absence of any type of live recording, especially at this price point, was a deal breaker for them. I have to say, once I opened this set, any doubt as to the value of my decision to purchase was completely forgotten. If there was one word I’d use to describe it, it would be “luxurious.” Every nuance and every detail screams quality. I especially like the lenticular portraits - they’re translucent so when you hold them to the light they glow with an eerie luminance. The packaging is so gorgeous and the new illustrations - which are numerous - are wonderful; perhaps some of the best of the series. This is exactly what it’s intended to be, an anniversary celebration of a remarkable album - price be damned. ... show more

  • It's Rush
Picture is not as defined as I thought it would be, but is good. Record sounded good and that's what matters. Is more a novelty record anyway, since already have regular copy of album.

  • Nothing really new. But I have everything else!
As a near 50 year fan now, there’s nothing really new here. It’s cool to see new artwork. IMO this marks the end of the 1976-1982 era in which Rush could do no wrong. I’d have been satisfied with one more concert of that era only. But we all know the situation. I guess I just miss seeing them. 53x was my magic number. July 25, 2015 in Vegas was my final concert. Peace to all. ... show more

  • Scratch but everything else is awesome
Awesome boxed set, lots of awesome artwork and the Atmos edit is decent. Was perfect except the scratch on the LP :-( Hopefully I can get a replacement from the seller and not have to box up the whole thing to exchange.

  • No record jacket
Docked one star b/c it came in a (heavy duty) plastic sleeve only which caught me by surprise. No record jacket, no insert, nothing. Just the vinyl and a big red sticker on the plastic sleeve. Sounds good though.
