  • Worked until it bricked itself
Suddenly this scope started to freeze while taking measurements and finally it acts like it’s trying to start but does not start… Lightly used UPDATE: I sent it back to Siglent for On Warranty repair and I came back in working condition!

  • Must have for any troubleshooter/hobbyist
I am Blown away by the quality of this product. I put off buying an oscilloscope for a long time, due to the amount of budget/ beginner scopes out there. After weeks of extensive research i finally found this scope. within 24 hours of discovering this scope I bought it and i'm very happy i did. Everything about this screams high quality, It came in very good packaging and was easy to set up. the button clicks feel well made, the screen quality is very high quality. both the probes came in their own bags and seem good. it was well calibrated and ready to use right out of the box. I couldn't ask for a better scope for 300 dollars and siglent will be my first choice from here on out! I highly recommend buying this if you are looking for a high quality scope that is budget friendly. ... show more

  • Great Value for the money
I am pretty new to oscilloscopes, I have not used one in over 30 years, but I did a lot of research and spoke with several people in my Ham radio group that have a lot of experience and this was highly recommended and I have been nothing but impressed. It was more expensive than some of the other entry level knock offs but I believe it was worth it and since several people I know have this exact oscilloscope or one of the other Siglent scopes I have a group of mentors very familiar with its functions I have gotten excellent instructions and am coming up to speed with it very quickly. For what it is worth This was a solid investment. ... show more

  • Everything Works As Expected
After using this for a couple of weeks, everything works as expected. The user interface is intuitive enough, but you will have to spend some time learning it. This is neither their cheapest model or the most expensive. But 100Mz response and 1GS/sec sampling is enough for most uses. The only complaint I have - is installing the EasyScopeX software, which allows you to control the scope from your computer. You FIRST have to install TWO other programs (1) Net Frame and (2) the software driver which is part of the NI-VISA program that has to be installed. It's explained in the EasyScopeX installation guide, but you WILL have to read it. I have come to appreciate the "auto" mode that automatically chooses the settings and stabilizes the signal. It works flawlessly everytime. The first thing I did was look at some PWM (pulse width modulation) on a Coast Polysteel 600 flashlight (the scope probe was hooked up to a light-to-voltage sensor). See screen capture below. ... show more

  • New to oscilloscopes
Since I'm new to them I've asked a friend whom is an IT specialist what he thought. He said that it's a solid scope and he wouldn't mind using it. Since I'm new to them, I feel there should be a few tutorials on using them in basic applications. If anyone has seen any other than on YouTube I would appreciate the info. Only drawback I see is the fold out feet tend to collapse at times ... show more

  • There Are Better Choices
I had the opportunity to compare this scope with the more expensive four channel Siglent SDS1104X-U, and wound up going with that one. These are complicated devices, and the user interface on the X (and E) series scopes is a lot more user-friendly. If you want a Siglent, and can stretch your budget, the X is worth the difference. ... show more

  • Very functional scope!
I'm very glad I bought this scope. I'm just using for audio amplifier design work so bandwidth is not a big concern. I have an old Tektronix but wanted something smaller. lighter and with a few modern features. And this scope fits the requirements. The "beam" is not as sharp as the Tek but it doesn't get in my way. ... show more
