Description

Ordered via Amazon and was received as promised on time. Excited to install on weapon system and sight in. Opened packaging which had no obvious signs of damage, installed batteries which were included in box, unit wont power on. Replaced batteries with 2 brand new of proper size and unit still wouldn't power on. Reached out to customer service, no hassle return, once they receive my return they will refund my purchase price to my card. Overall customer service rating is high as they were helpful and ezpz. Just disappointed the unit was defective/damaged and wouldn't work. I did order another and will review it as well in the spirit of fairness. ... show more

As someone who has been into thermal/night vision hunting for a while, I can tell you that this is an incredible value. I caught it on sale for $1500 and decided it would make a good backup for the price, so I was willing to give it a try. I’m kicking myself now for not buying 2. It’s not a $5000 thermal, so don’t judge it as one. But for the price I paid, I haven’t seen anything compare to the clarity and performance. The battery life with good quality batteries is unbelievable and I’ve had zero malfunctions with it after heavy use so far. It has dropped multiple hogs and coyotes and has maintained zero like a champ, and I feel more comfortable toting it out into the field at night than risking my more expensive scope. It has become my go-to at this point, especially for ranges of 250 yards and under. AGM is great, Infiray is great, Pulsar is great, and now so is Sightmark. Just don’t buy ATN! ... show more

    • Great Scope
Beside the price and only 2x zoom, this scope it VERY VERY good. Head shot a beaver from 50 yards away on a new moon with no problems. Zeroing your scope is relatively easy. Battery life was good enough as well. Again, I just wish it didn't cost so much.

This scope has been mounted, zeroed, and returned.. then it was sent to me as a new item. The reticle was off center when I got it. That told me it had been zeroed. Doing a factory reset re-centered it. There are also marks on the mount that show it was mounted to a rifle. You can clearly see the pic rail bars. Edit... I have talked with a dedicated night scope dealer and discovered that my original thoughts might have been in error. Might... Occasionally manufacturers will pull product from the line and recoil test it as well as move the reticle around as a quality check. That may explain what I found. My recommendation is to find a dealer with a knowledgeable human that you can talk to about any questions you may have. Amazon is a great place to buy many things, but expensive optics may not be among them. there is also the question about what is done with return items that cost thousands of dollars. I doubt they chuck in a return pallet for quick bulk sale. Most likely they resell it. That could also explain what I found. ... show more

    • Good Thermal Starter Scope
The media could not be loaded. This is a very good thermal rifle scope for a beginner. I have pigs and varmints at my ranch that need to be thinned out and this scope will certainly do it. My current night vision scope is not always useful in poor weather, but a thermal scope is perfect in light rain and fog. The attached video was taken in my backyard at 'dark dusk', in a light rain at 30 to 50 yards. The Sightmark Mini Thermal allows me to setup the 'point of impact' in five different configurations. I have it setup for: 1. -- 5.56 with 55g JHP 2. -- 5.56 with 77g sub-sonic 3. -- .22cal in 40g 4. -- .22cal in 40g sub-sonic 5. -- 7.62 in 140g Win Big Game All of them are dead on at 100 yards. Wont work at all. Just a blinking green screen. I tried contacting Amazon who just said I can return it but they wont replace it and it might take 30 days to get my money back. I called Signtmark support and they said there was nothing they could do to help unless I wanted to ship it in for repairs and wait. I will never buy a Sightmark product again.
