    • Great optics addition
Color: 4-32x32
This is an excellent investment. Starts quick, easy to use menu, easy to sight in. I also own a high end thermal. However, unless conditions are either extreme dark or over 300 yards, the thermal is overkill. This night vision with IR light does the trick within 150 yards. Much easier to set up and shoot compared to my thermal. ... show more

    • Not even close to "4K" - very blurry daytime
Color: 4-32x32
Very blurry. Unless the unit I got was defective, there is NO WAY you could hunt with this in the daytime

    • A Solid Performer in Need of Some Tweaks
Color: 4-32x32
I did not purchase this telescopic site primarily for hunting -- but rather for observing wildlife, especially under low light or nighttime conditions. It works quite well for that purpose: gives a clear sharp image under various conditions and has an intuitive menu system: doesn't need any special attention for daylight use, shifts seamlessly back and forth between full color (daylight) and grayscale (nighttime) viewing. But now that it's been out for several years, some of the bugs should have been worked out of it .... The CR-123 Li ion batteries that ship with it only power it for about 2 hours in full color mode -- then you must recycle or trash them; it would have been much smarter to include rechargeable batteries (as well as extras) and a charger in their place. There is a warning in the packaging about using the site in bright daylight conditions - apparently you should not do this without a pinhole lens cap. But unfortunately no such cap is included with the sight (!) I am currently considering drilling a small hole (4 or 5 mm) in the existing flip-up objective lens cap, then tapping it for a short screw. Because there are probably many individuals like me who want to use this for wildlife viewing, rather than attaching it to a weapon, and because the sight and external I-R source are heavy (about 1 kg) the manufacturer should have included a way to attach it to a standard photographic tripod (1/4" x 20 thread) rather than ONLY to a picatinny weapon rail system. (I'll be forced to buy such an adapter from a third party supplier.) One more thing: there is an online outdoor products retailer (whose name would be instantly familiar to you) that offers this system about $150 cheaper. Amazon needs to get on top of that right away! So overall, a sound purchase, likely to last for years and years and give excellent service. But definitely in need of upgrades, and not worth the money Amazon is charging for it. ... show more
