  • Working fine for my current project. Makes the job easier! Worth the investment.
I have real Gecko siding gauges…. somewhere. I’m using these ”Feeloco Store Siding Tools, Streamline Siding Installation Tools for 5/16-Inch,3/8-Inch,7/16-Inch Fiber Cement” gauges right now on a relatively large project. They are almost as good. Yes, the Geckos slip in a little easier, but with a small change in technique, these work fine. I’m just as fast and accurate with these units. I’ll buy another set so I can do long runs easier. I like them. Good value. ... show more

  • Not as easy to use, but relatively well built and does the job
Decent build, a little stiff/harder to wedge in, but otherwise does the job. Use case was for Hardie lap siding for rear enclosed porch. Price is ok at around $30, we got another set from same manufacturer as well.

  • A Helping Hand for Siding Jobs
When it comes to siding tools, the principle is simple, they hold siding boards in place at the precise height so you can install them level over the entire structure. This particular set is designed to operate with siding in varying thicknesses and allows for adjustable overlap, which makes it flexible for different projects. It's difficult to determine whether the various comparable tools available on the market differ very much from one another. There are several of these replicas available at a lower price point compared to the market leader in this area. This device appears to perform the job just fine if saving money is the aim. You will need to put the tool together before using it because it comes in several pieces. When assembled, the material provides a sturdy feel. I appreciate the rubber locking grip, which helps protect painted siding from getting damaged. Although there may be a small learning curve to achieve the results you are looking for, it functions well for the purpose for which it was designed. They do offer a helping hand especially if you're installing on your own by keeping the board in position while nailing, which saves a significant amount of time. ... show more

  • Gecko rip off, but pretty nice
These are a rip off of the Gecko gauges by PacTool - They are nearly the same. The real Geckos are better because the back plate, that little black peice of steel that slips up under the top most nailed siding run is sort of beveled making it much easier to slip under the siding. Pretty easy to fix with a grinder though. These off brand ones also come with spacers to male them work with LP smartside which is nice i guess but the clips work better for that. Anyway I guess if you want the Geckos these are almost as good ... show more

  • Excellent tool for DIY projects
I am not a pro, but I do my best to fix and improve my property. This tool is so useful for me to get the job done professionally. They are well-built and easy to adjust and work with. The quality of the parts is decent. I like that they help me to do siding by myself without help. It is a good investment if one does siding very often. ... show more

  • Great timesaving tool for hardi siding.
Good set of siding tools overall much cheaper than the green brand. The Streamline Siding Installer is quick and easy to set up, and it does a solid job of making sure the siding stays in place as I work. It’s definitely cut down on the amount of time I spend on each panel, but I had to get used to the best technique to make it work perfectly. Once I got the hang of it, it was a huge time-saver. It’s a solid tool. ... show more

  • A Must-Have for Siding Installation
This siding tool set is a game-changer! It pays for itself with the first job by making the installation much quicker and easier. Like an extra man on the crew holding the siding in place while you work. The adjustable reveals make alignment dead-on, and the build quality is solid. Works perfectly with fiber cement siding, saving time and effort. If you're a contractor or DIYer, this tool is a no-brainer. It speeds up the job, improves accuracy, and reduces fatigue. Highly recommended for anyone working with siding-you won't regret this purchase! ... show more

  • Need to use them but construction looks fine.
I have a fiber cement project pending in the summer so I picked these up in advance. The plastic and hinges feel sturdy enough to me, but I'm no expert at fiber cement installations. You can manually adjust the depth on these to suit your boards. They seem to be at the market price point for this sort of tool, so I can't comment further until I give them a try on a real project. ... show more
