Description

The innovative soft bristle Siding Brush is specially designed to match the profile of 4" standard siding allowing for efficient cleaning of vinyl house siding. The top bristles provide cleaning action for the difficult to clean undersides of laps of siding. The Siding Brush attaches to any common extension pole via a standard broom-handle connector. The extension pole is not included, however readily available online or in home improvement stores. The Siding Brush is for use on 4" standard vinyl house siding and does not work on other styles of siding (Dutch, etc.). Directions for use: 1. Attach Siding Brush to extension pole (not included). 2. Lightly spray house siding with water. 3. Move Siding Brush laterally across lap of siding. 4. Lightly rinse siding to look like new. The Siding Brush also works for hard to clean two story homes when a longer extension pole is used.

  • Probably The Best Siding Brush Available
This siding brush was a good tool to add to my arsenal to clean my siding. I am very happy to have accidentally found this brush, there is nothing else like it. Like mowing, no one grass cutting or engine type mower works for every situation. This brush certainly cleans long runs of siding better than anything else I've tried and requires no chemicals which is good thing. It especially excels in cleaning heavy siding dirt and grime of all kinds. Where it does not work well is getting close around siding trim, down spouts, and other obstacles. It is physical work, good for the upper torso, but the results are as good as your effort and determination. Pressure washing is a lazy man's option, not good for your siding and leaks water into your walls and foundation, but is sometimes necessary to clean severely neglected siding. Anyway, this brush works, and is well built and designed to last a very long time. Personally, I use it to remove the most stubborn junk growing or attached to my siding, then I go over selective areas with a chlorine or bleach type cleaner to help kill the mold, mildew, and algae residue and then rinse. Power washing or chemicals alone never did get me excited with the results. Bottom line, my siding is looking good! ... show more

  • Three seasons of use
I rent my house and the vinyl siding started to break in places the last time I pressure washed it. My neighbors to the south have a big gravel drive, my siding is white, you gotta wash it somehow so you don't end up living in the brown house. I've had this siding brush for 3 years now. Pros: -gets up under the lip of the siding where a lot of my dust collects -attaches to any pole -bristles are gentle, even with pressure (no new siding cracks) -easy to reach the high siding on my one story house -easy to dip in a 5 gallon bucket of soapy water for extra cleaning power Cons: -needs a locking mechanism of some kind... You will end up tightening it to the pole. A lot. -floppy, because the head is heavy -does not work well around gutters, in tight places, or where the siding is only about as wide as the brush head -hard to control when you're scrubbing behind landscaping, like bushes Still giving it 4 stars because it looks brand new after 3 years and does get the job done. Would really love more bristles in the middle (not just the ends) on a future version. ... show more

  • Great siding brush Great siding brush
This brush has worked great at cleaning our siding. We live in a humid area, so there is a bit of buildup after just 5 years. We used a biodegradable siding cleaner along with this scrub brush, and all of it just comes right off! Just wet with water, spray on the siding cleaner, let it sit a minute, and the scrub and rinse. I agree with other reviews that I wish there were more bristles on the brush. I have some very short sections of siding that I had to use a different brush for. I also agree that it can be difficult to get the brush in the correct position on certain areas, mostly non-siding areas that I am scrubing, like the bottom of the gutters and other border pieces. This brush attached perfectly to our extendable pole. However, I personally find it difficult to apply enough pressure and maneuver the brush the farther out the pole is, so I still required a ladder in some places. Overall this is a great brush and I recommend it. ... show more

  • Excellent for cleaning siding. Quick too Excellent for cleaning siding. Quick too
This brush beats any other thing I've tried. 1 pass is all it takes to get the regular dirt and two passes gets the tougher stuff. It gets older the lip of the siding. It's gentle, but very effective. I used Zep siding cleaner in a former for washing cars (way reduces cleaning product), and hit it with the brush. Boom, done. As a hint, start at the top then work your way down, it keeps the brush oriented properly. Check out the pic. The fungus was 2 swipes. Would buy again. ... show more

  • isses spots
It was very difficult to use I thought. I did a much better job on my vinyl siding with a good brush that got all the spaces. A good brush on the end of a pole is faster and so much easier for me anyway.

  • Sturdy brush but not easy to use
Got this brush to clean algae and lichen from our vinyl siding. The brush itself it well made. Purchased a long pole so I would not need to use a ladder. Unfortunately the effort to reach higher spots was more than expected. I was unable to clean off the lichen because there was not enough pressure for the brush to remove it. The algae came off fairly well but the brush cannot get to spots next to the down spout or angles near roof line. Overall I was happy to get the algae removed but not sure how often I will use the brush. ... show more

  • Requires ALOT of Elbow Grease and Needs More Bristles But Works Requires ALOT of Elbow Grease and Needs More Bristles But Works
I was looking for an alternative to harsh chemicals as I have a garden area surrounding my house and also try to safeguard wildlife. This product does the job. But expect to put in a lot of hard work and don’t go walking into it thinking you will clean a huge area in one try. Also buying the suggested 30 foot extension pole which is also a great product, it took a lot of elbow grease to clean a small area. The brush also needs to angled to clean the siding overlap at the top/bottom. The directions were great. Hose the area, scrub, hose the area again. You must work a small area and hose the area off immediately. It also will require a second or third scrubbing. That isn’t the fault of the brush, but they really need a brush with full bristles. Also, there is no tension in the swivel and it just goes any direction. Overall, if you’re looking to not use chemicals like me, and if you’re looking for a good product to remove vinyl mildew, then this is a great choice. Expect to put in a lot of hard work and expect it to be a project requiring a lot of time. If I knew this before, I would still order this product. I am very happy with the results. ... show more
