This is a great game, I bought it as a gift for someone and they gave thoroughly enjoyed the game. It’s nice to have a hard copy also compared to just owning the e copy of the game. They’ve played this game for many many hours.

    • Switch version performance review
Civ 7 is a similar experience to past games, so I’m going to focus on the Switch version as I was unable to find answers to my performance questions prior to purchase. First, I think it should be clearly stated that the Switch version only has Tiny and Small map sizes. It was incredibly disappointing to find out the Standard map size is completely disabled in this version. Performance-wise, on a 6 civilization, small map, I found it too laggy for my preferences with the unit animations on, so I turned them all off. This overall worked until about turn 125, when the game started to lag significantly again. Additionally, my Switch would overheat while in the docking station, so I do have to run a fan on max speed to keep the system cool enough for the game to run. I think the Switch version would appeal to those who would be okay with playing on a tiny map size and maybe with fewer civilizations. I certainly also purchased it for the option of movile gaming. For those looking for the full experience, try a different platform. ... show more

I tried to cancel the delivery based on the reviews, and was denied. I’m returning this the second it arrives. I’ve seen all I have to see in the early reviews of this garbage.
