After many years of the throw away $100 or less desks, I am so happy I chose this one. After unboxing, it took me 20 minutes to put this together by myself. About 5-10 of those minutes was wrestling with one bolt (when the instructions tell you to not tighten all of the bolts until you get the last one started, believe it LOL). I am sooo pleased! My desk arrived safely with no damage! The corners of the desk top had safety protectors and everything else came protected and wrapped! The package came totally wrecked, torn, and even wet! I was expecting the desk to be at least dented possibly broken, but there wasn’t a scratch on anything when I inspected each piece. I feel like everyone’s issues might be with the shipping company damaging the pieces and I happened to be lucky. Installation was incredibly easy and came with everything needed, I put it together by myself in 30 min. I got the version of white legs and light wood top, I think it looks alright in my office of mostly white furniture and it gives me a lot of room to work on. The top is thicker than I expected which is good, the metal legs are very light and feel like they could be dented easily or damaged with a lot of weight, but it’s not going to be a problem for me. It’s not the sleekest or nicest looking desk, just simple. I would not recommend for a high-brow setting, but it works in my small casual office, would also work as a gaming table or any craft table that didn’t involve anything too heavy or anything with tools that can scratch it. I read you should definitely use a coaster for drinks so I’ll be mindful of that. I would say the price should be lower for the look and quality, especially with the big risk in shipping damage, but I don’t regret my purchase. ... show more

This by far was one of the easiest desks I have ever tried to assemble. Instructions were clear cut, and easy to read, everything was clearly marked, and once assembled, it is very sturdy.

Took some time to find a desk I liked but this fits my needs. Big, plenty of desk space and room underneath. I kept getting desks where I roll up to the desk or I swivel from one side of the L to the other my chair constantly rubbed against the desk or I wasn't able to sit where I wanted at the desk. I'm happy to say this desk has none of those issues and there's plenty of room under the desk. Plenty of space ontop of the desk and the metal legs seem far more sturdy than most desks using some fake wood as support. The thing was super easy to assemble and the instructions clear. My only concern with assembly is I might not take it apart for a decade and I suspect the metal pieces that slide into each other aren't going to want to separate after years of weight pushing them together. In hindsight I wish I had lubed those pieces up just so they'd come apart easier after years of having a weight push down on it and really bind those pieces of metal together. Hardly a concern. I hate stryofoam but I'm glad this thing was packaged together as well as it was. They use cheap plastic inserts on the corners of the boxes to absorb impacts. UPS definitely dropped this thing cause one of those plastic corners was completely shattered, the box ripped in spots, and a lot of the stryofoam broken. No desk parts were damaged. The packaging did it's job and survived UPS. If I had to complain about something I'd complain about the material the desk surface is made from. Seems similar to other fake woods that like to peel. We'll see how long it takes for the surface to start showing wear. Everything else about this desk is great. Honestly if the surface does start to degrade I'm just going to measure out the tops and have real wood tops made. Fortunately/unfortunately with how easy this thing is to assemble it would be easy enough to slap down some real wood ontop and screw that into the frame. To me that's a compliment to the design of the desk that I would rather replace the tops than buy an entirely new desk. ... show more
