I hate to complain since the desk works fine and came as described. It's simple, smooth and sturdy but once it's all assembled and I'm looking at it, I can't help but feel a little ripped off. Thing looks like it's worth maybe $40 retail let alone what you could get something that does the same job only used. I've had it around four years now and have used it ever since, but I also have a fold out table that while not as stylish, covers the same area, can be used with more utility due its portability and was a quarter of the price. To be fair this desk is sturdier but in hindsight I probably would have just invested in another fold out table and saved myself the money. I ordered this desk for my boyfriend. He’s an artist and draws in his free time. But hasn’t had his own desk since moving in with me. Being on a budget but needing to serve a purpose, this was perfect. It has a nice wide flat surface. He’s able to display his alcohol ink markers on the desk and still have plenty of room to draw. I got this primarily as a writing desk, I use a laptop. It came in good condition and was very easy to assemble, only taking 5-10 minutes after getting it out of the packaging. All of the leg parts and screw holes aligned and fit together easily, which had been a concern reading some of the other reviews.
