  • Water pump works great.
Pattern Name: Water Pump
I replaced a failed pump. Rather than buying a repair kit I decided to replace the whole pump. I needed to adjust the pressure with a small allan wrench to get it operating correctly. The pump is quiet with good pressure. I recommend this pump!

  • Easy install. Perfect replacement. Quiet running.
Pattern Name: Water Pump
Our original water pump started leaking at the head. Rather than take it apart and replace all the seals and gaskets I decided to buy new. It took less than 15 minutes to replace the old unit with this one. My wife is impressed with the pressure and it truly is quieter than the old one. We have to strain to hear it running. ... show more

  • I love this pump
Pattern Name: Water Pump
My 30-year-old Sureflo water pump finally gave up the ghost (motor bushing wore out damaging the armature) while I was boondocking in the So. Cal. desert. A nearby local hardware store (only one within 40 miles) had an off-brand pump for about twice what it was selling for here on Amazon, and the nearest supplier with this Sureflo was 80 miles away. Thankfully, there was an Amazon Locker about 60 miles away in an area that we were going to be traveling to for other reasons anyway, so I was able to pick this up there a couple of days later and install it that day. Thank goodness for Prime shipping and Amazon Locker! This pump has much better pressure than my old one did, and is about 10 times quieter. My old pump would continue to run a few seconds after I shut the water off, but this one builds pressure up so fast that it stops immediately when a faucet is shut off (I don't have an expansion tank). It has thick rubber feet for mounting which is great for vibration isolation and sound dampening. I made my own sound reduction kit rather than buying the $25 one sold here on Amazon. It was about $15 buying the pieces individually from Ace Hardware. Those pieces included two 36 inch flexible supply lines that came with half-inch female FIP fittings installed on each end, and two short half-inch plastic NPT nipples. It all goes together very easily and no Teflon tape or pipe dope is needed (because the FIP fittings have seals in them). I probably should have tested the pump before using the sound reduction kit to see how much of a difference that made, but I didn't think about it at the time. Regardless, i'm VERY happy with the performance and quietness of this pump, and I think the price was quite reasonable. My last Sureflo pump lasted 30 years. If this one lasts that long, it will most likely outlast me. ... show more

  • A Pump that gets the job done at an affordable price
Pattern Name: Water Pump
Installed quickly, right angle fittings were necessary, likely a common issue otherwise the plumbing would need to enter from one direction and exit another. Having no suction side air leaks is a must, my strainer was just a bit loose and that was enough to put small air bubbles in the output water. That tinny leak did affect the pumping rate; the air builds up in the pump and then pumped volume varries. If you see tiny air bubble your suction side has a air leak. I needed to adjust the pressure switch in order for the pump to stop running. My plumbing is new Wirsbo Aqua Pex, no leaks good materials. The bypass circuit held the maximum pressure below the pressure switch. I gave it four stars because I needed to do this. The manual does a good job of telling how to turn the adjustment screws, but it does not point out the location of them. There are two very small Allen Head screws, SAE 1/16", The location of the pressure switch is in the center of the pump (two red wire connect near), the bypass is on the left when looking at the front. The pump easily supports a 2.5 gpm shower head, or a sink facet that aerates the water. My previous with the same rating could not do that. The higher pressure is noticeable. The trailer now has a workable water system without a high expense of a large pump. ... show more

  • good pump so far
Pattern Name: Water Pump
i bought this not for rv but for a solar 12V application for my house. I have a reservoir tank and needed to pressurize the output of that to supply the house water and its working great drawing from that and i get about the same performance on faucets and house fixtures including shower as i do using my regular 240V well system. Its limits are reached with a garden hose type application or trying to run a sprinkler and it wont keep up with that demand well + it will run constantly which is not a good idea because it will get very hot if it runs constantly or for a long period. Im sure that isnt helping it last a long time getting it hot like that in a heavy demand type application. Anyway it works fine directly plumbed from water source to your pipes but any small leak in a fixture will make it cycle quite regularly so i had to fix one 'dripping' fixture to stop that. Also i got the sureflo little screen filter thing and the flexhose hookup kit which raised the total price a bit but worth it if you dont already have that stuff .. anyway i really like the pump and think its very effective and easy to use for a water system that has low/medium demand and doesnt need an 'accumulator' or whatever to work just fine .. i didnt need to adjust anything on its internal switch points either it will turn on with a pressure drop to about 40psi and shutoff is around 50psi. *edit* - here we are several years later from the original post above and still using the pump as a secondary/backup pump system on my house its still working beautifully - has saved my rear and kept me good on the water situation multiple times in power outages and storms .. i love this pump, just bought a second one just in case i ever need to replace it at a critical time ... its more than served well though so all the time after this point is 'bonus' ... ... show more

  • Works Great, Lower Current than Stock Airstream Pump
Pattern Name: Water Pump
2010 Airstream International 25FBQ. We bought this trailer in 2018 and the water pump was the first thing to fail. This was our replacement and it works great. Low noise, low current, plenty of water flow, and combined with a pressure bladder, it never cycles unless we're running a faucet. This pump has no problem keeping up with the shower head, even periodically cycling off while the shower is running. It's worth noting, we converted our tank sensors from the miserable Micropulse system to the highly functional SeeLevel sensors, however the pump switch on the SeeLevel panel is rated at a slightly lower current than the switch on the Micropulse panel, and indeed the stock pump from Airstream exceeds the rating of the SeeLevel switch. You'll see this discussed on airforums, where some users either choose to not worry about it, or whittle the panel to install a slightly larger switch, or install a relay (which, unless the relay coil is wired in series with the auto-shutoff switch in the pump, will cause a parasitic current draw any time the switch is on but the pump is off.) This pump is within the SeeLevel rating, so it's IMO a much simpler solution without any worry about frying the switch contacts. ... show more

  • Misleading description of product
Pattern Name: Water Pump
The pump is fine. I paid $30 extra thinking I was getting a pump that is quieter than the standard one kind of misleading on the description of the product. I also verified this info through Pentair Shurflo. Shurflo said I should only pay about $71-$78 for the pump. The company should reimburse me approximately $30 but the product is a good product. ... show more

  • Works great
Pattern Name: Water Pump
My 13 year old Keystone camper has never had great water pressure, but it worked. After my 13 year old Shurflo pump stopped working, I grabbed a volt meter to see if I had power to the pump. To my surprise the pump had no power to the positive wire, but the negative wire was hot? I noticed that the wires coming out of the pump had been hot and was somewhat melted. Turns out, the pump was wired backwards from the factory and it still lasted 13 years! I ordered this new Shurflo pump and corrected the wiring, and presto, it worked awesome! If you have a camper with low water pressure, it only takes 10 seconds to check for voltage at the positive wire. If you don’t have power to the positive wire, then it’s probably wired backwards. I’m sure glad Shurflo builds a high quality pump that lasted 13 years, being wired backwards. ... show more
