I don't have a SM7B, I have a MV7X. I saw a YouTube review that did comparisons and for some reason putting this SM7B windscreen on the MV7X makes it sound SOOOO much closer to the quality of the SM7B. As I'm transitioning back into voiceover work and looking to start a podcast soon, I decided that if this trick worked, it would be well worth the money I'd be saving instead of just buying the SM7B. Fits and works perfectly for my MV7. :D The advantage to using this one over the default one for the MV7 is it will give you the appropriate distance to stay away from the mic itself. Which helps with preventing those "plosives."
