I’ve worked in restaurants for 11+ years and as soon as I put these on with my own insoles from the foot doctor (I have high arches and a bunion - hereditary) I loved them immediately. CHEFS KISS. They hug your foot so nicely & I love how contoured they are, but not restrictive! Very roomy and comfortable for those with a wider foot. Purchased these for my daughter who is flat footed, on her feet 8 hours per day and often came home in tears. Someone from work suggested these to her. Since putting them on, I have never heard a complaint since. They are lightweight, not clunky Supper durable, arch support and very comfortable for her. Worth the money I paid for them. Not a bad work shoe. I absolutely detest having to buy skid proof shoes for the hospitality industry I've been in for 40 years. Some restaurants don't require it and that works for me because I usually buy a very expensive pair of Asics to run around waiting tables in. I've been doing it for 40 years so I'm not messing around with my knees or my feet! As of late the non-corporate restaurant I work in is insisting we wear skid proof shoes. Usually my biggest nightmare and I want to immediately quit Everyone I work with purchased the Skechers and everyone is complaining. I decide to try these and I have to say they are not bad. Definitely not ideal but they never are. but if you have to wear skid proof definitely give these a try. Very little foot pain and knee pain which is important. The media could not be loaded. I spent years and years in service industry, and even though I'm not there anymore I still remember the painful feet and the struggle to find comfortable shoes, especially ones that looked halfway decent. I wish I'd found these shoes back in those days, they would have been my go-to daily wear shoes, no question. They feel very cushioned, like my feet are being held up by little firm-but-soft pillows. I've worn them all day walking my dog, running errands, and more walking. They kept my feet happy and seemed to make my back and the rest of me happy as well. Very comfortable, no tired feet at the end of the day. They're also very breathable and didn't make my feet hot, something that is key for me since my feet run hot anyway. They don't look like shoes aimed at work, they actually look really nice. One thing I noticed in my years of looking for comfortable non-slip shoes, they seemed to forfeit any sense of fashion. These look like any other black sneakers, not ones made for kitchen wear. If I'd worn these when I was behind the bar I wouldn't have worried about how they looked with my outfit, plus I'd feel confident on my feet thanks to the great non-slip soles, and I'd probably be in a good mood thanks to my feet not hurting. I've worn them out on slippery ground and felt completely secure the entire time. I live in a rainy area so this time of year everything is wet ground and mud, both of which are slick. My dog likes to take me off road when we go for walks plus I'm outside running around a lot so I tend to wear trail runners because they have more grip. These had just as much grip and in some areas I actually felt like I had better grip than in the trail runners. I got a size 9 and probably should have gotten 8.5. I can range between the two depending on the shoe but lean more toward 9. I wouldn't say these run large, but they're definitely roomy and maybe run just a teeny bit big. I only add that because I don't usually have this much room left up front in a 9. So if you're between sizes I'd suggest the smaller one. They're still comfortable and feel great to walk around in, even with the extra room. I'm so happy with these shoes, I've been wearing them out walking and all over and feel great in them. Plus I can go from feeling confident on the slippery outside ground to looking like I'm wearing a normal pair of sneakers when I get inside. They're also priced a whole lot lower than most shoes I see aimed at workers who need comfortable and non-slip footwear, an extra bonus. These are the best of both worlds, all worlds in fact, comfort, looks, safety, and price. Your feet will thank you. ... show more
