I am debating between 3 or 4 stars on this. The first thing is, this comforter is not even remotely as fluffy as it looks in the photos. However, I didn't actually expect it to be, because no down comforter that I've ever purchased over the years ever looks like the photos. So, I won't be too harsh on that. But the one thing I will say is that this comforter is louder and more crinkly sounding than others I've had in the past. It makes it feel slightly cheap. That said, once I put the duvet cover on and started using it, it has performed fine. It's a decent weight and provides the right amount of warmth and cover without being too hot for this time of year (temps are starting to warm near me but still cool at night). I do think it will likely work well year-round, but we'll see when the weather cools off. The other thing is, it's dry clean only, which many down comforters are, but that is a slight inonvenience. It does have the ties in the corners to keep the duvet cover in place, which is a helpful feature. The drape is also a perfect size for a queen. Overall, this is a decent, mid-range comforter (it was 69.99 for a queen at the time I got it, which I think is a little high given the quality). There's nothing wrong with it per se, but despite all the other AI generated reviews here reiterating product listing language and singing its praises, there may be softer and fluffier options available.

According to the tag, this duvet is filled with 54% duck feather fibers, 35% duck feathers, and 11% duck down fiber for a total 2 lbs 6 oz of filling (for the twin size option). In general, the higher percentage of down in a comforter, the higher quality it is. Down is lighter, fluffier, warmer, and quieter than feathers, so if you want more of those qualities, a higher percentage of down is the way to go. This duvet being a more affordable option, it’s not a surprise not to have high ratio of down to feathers. It is certainly not the most luxe, lofty, premium duvet in the world, but it really does hold its own, especially for a more affordable option. The feather fibers that make up the bulk of the filling are nicer than the feathers in some other duvets I’ve had- the fact that this primarily uses feather fibers (which have the sharp quill removed) instead of whole feathers, makes it softer, fluffier, and way less likely to have stray feathers end up poking through the fabric. And the fabric is of a nice quality… a soft, thick, tight cotton weave that holds the filling in and feels both durable and comfortable. Here are a few additional observations about this duvet: - Lightweight, but not as plush/fluffy as depicted in listing. It’s not a heavy blanket, and due to the lower down content, it’s not super lofty either. It’s got some fluff to it, though, especially if you give it a good shake. - Not overly warm. To me, this is an all-around “medium/light” duvet. I’d find it pretty comfortable for sleeping in the 70-74 degree range, when combined with a cotton duvet cover. But I wished for some extra blankets when my room fell down to 68 degrees the other night. It will be a good summer comforter for me, but by itself it won’t be enough in the winter. - Loud. I hear crinkly sounds every time I move or shift the duvet. This isn’t uncommon with feather comforters, especially when they have a cotton outer shell. It takes time and use for them to soften up and get quieter. - Fits well in a standard duvet cover, and has corner tabs for attaching cover ties to the comforter

I do enjoy this blanket. I have eyed the want for a down comforter. Most of the ones I've seen are fake down and have nasty polyester. This one says otherwise. The cotton feels strong but also plastic like internally? So their maybe a stiffener between the squares. It's definitely warm. Ive slept with it for a few nights and it definitely works well with temperature regulations. I do wonder if the twin versions are a little less fluffy? Some of the squares look to be well plush, while others are not. I've fluffed it a few times carefully and it's definitely inconsistent. Research says it will get better over time. I do think a duvet would be good if you have cats. They really look to enjoy sleeping next to me suddenly now that I have it. It currently cold enough here that I can have the blanket tucked between a sheet, and another cotton blanket. All in all, I forsee using this blanket for a long time. Just like the one my parents had 20 years ago.

This comforter is super soft and comfortable! It's really hard to beat a goose down bed comforter, and this is a really good example because it is just so much softer and fluffier than pretty much any other material that you're going to find out there! What I love about this comforter is that they have the cross stitching in it. So if you notice, you see that it has little squares stitched out in it that are maybe 5x5in. Well that is done so that the stuffing stays even throughout the comforter instead of all of your stuffing just bunching up down to the foot of your bed. The one thing that I was not too Keen about this comforter is they only offered it in white, there were no other color options to choose from. Now I like white linen when it comes to a motel room, because that is a telltale of whether they are keeping their stuff really clean or not. But when it comes to my own bedroom, I don't really care too much for white, because if I happen to Bill a little bit of coffee or something on there, I don't want it to be a big hassle trying to get it out. Well they recommend having this comforter dry cleaned, and that probably is your best bet I'm sure. But one thing that I fully intend to do is keep it inside of a duvet cover while using it. I have it inside of a duvet cover right now and no doubt that helps with not letting the comforter get so dirty so easily! It is definitely super comfortable and it's just an all-around really good comforter! In my opinion the asking price for this unit is really fair and reasonable! I would absolutely recommend this product to my friends and family!!
