I ordered this apron for my wood shop and general maintenance projects around the house. It's really well made and the design is well thought out. There's a metal tape measure clip which is one feature that made me choose it over others. The two lower pouches/pockets are big enough to put a speed square in and have a flap cover to keep out sawdust. The shoulder strap pads are wide, comfortable and adjustable. The kangaroo pouch is handy for oddball items. The upper zipper pocket is big enough for my cell phone and I like that the canvas is wax impregnated so glues, paints etc. won't soak through. Because it's heavy duty for durability, I was concerned it might be a bit too heavy to wear for hours, but it's not. There's a cross strap in back to keep in from sliding off the shoulders which I really like. It also has a nice loop on the top inside for hanging up when not in use. I do wish it had a razor, and or both, putty knife pockets sewn perhaps on the front of the big pockets. I had only one small issue with one of the pocket reinforcement rivets that came off right away due to not being properly installed. I contacted the company and they promptly resolved the issue for me. So kudos to them for the great service! My son-in-law saw it, tried it on, and now wants one! I was looking for a shop apron that would function to keep essential tools close and at my fingertips as I move from one work station to another. I also needed it to keep fine dust and glue off me because I step in and out of my shop to visit jobs and meet with clients. Meeting with clients for the first time in their home or with architects covered in dust isn’t appropriate . Durability is important because of the large pieces I’m lifting and moving around as well as the cleaners, glues and finishes I’m working with. The weight, material and wax treatment are a perfect combination and the fit was exceptional. There are infinite adjustments so a perfect fit is achievable. The straps are attached at the front and back through large metal grommets and double stitched using heavy synthetic thread. The grommets allow the strap to shift so the stress is always perpendicular to the point where it’s attached. Vulnerable bottom corner pockets are reinforced with large rivets and there is a metal clip for a measuring tape. The relationship between strap width, strap locations, padding on the straps and material used result in an apron that feels like you’ve been wearing it for years. You won’t even know you’re wearing it. One of my favorite features is that the deep front pockets have flaps that prevent unwanted sawdust. Just above the pockets is hoodie style pocket allowing access from both sides. It’s big enough you can ball your fists inside so a variety of items can be stored in there. Having worn one of these and experiencing the fit, features and amazing comfort I would spend have spent more. ... show more

I never leave reviews. (Yes, I know I am terrible). But this I just had to. I have been through so many aprons being someone who does woodworking. Running across this one because I was *again* looking (because my last one still didn’t suit me) was such a happy day. 1) Waxed canvas 2) Pencil and marking knife holders 3) Ring for clean-up rag 4) Phone pocket *zips*. (No more falling phone while bending over 👍🏻) 5) Not to many pockets!. The vast majority have WAYYYY to many pockets for my taste in waxed canvas aprons. Nothing like putting something in a pocket only have to rummage around figuring out what pocket it is in. 6) The pockets have flaps. Woodworks tend to have an obsession with dust control. Sawdust getting under my fingernails is never pleasant. Flaps will definitely help that! 7) Wonderful safety glasses strap. I am constantly misplacing mine. I have 6 pairs because of it 😂. So this thrills me. Remembering to use it … I can learn! 8) It goes to my knees! I require this and in waxed canvas mid-thigh Is the norm. Sawdust tends to hit me from the knees up. 9) Split-leg was a big reason I got this one, because while I really need it to be knee length, sitting is such a pain as one’s without split legs tend to get twisted. 10) Now a huge reason I really started looking at this one was the, what I call, the “hoodie” hand pocket. 😂 It is my “go to” thinking pose. In the winter I am wearing one, but summertime interferes with my problem solving because I don’t know what to do with my hands! Problem solved with this apron. I wasn’t even looking for this so major bonus for me! I haven’t seen another apron have this. I will say I was concerned about how well it would fit. I am 5’4” and have a short torso. The shoulder straps don’t actually fit on my shoulders properly but not uncomfortably. The majority of the padding sits more on my shoulder blades behind. The side adjustments fit me perfectly but are cinched to the smallest. So this means the across shoulder strap is actually under my shoulder blades. But to be honest this suits my taste as it keeps the middle of the front sides more smoothed down instead of catching on my arms. It is kind of a pain to slide over my head. I figure if it bothers me more than I want I will just cut it off, so far it hasn’t. Aesthetically it is far from pleasing. That is a personal thing though. I don’t like brown very much in my attire and would have had icing on the cake if I could have had it in black. If the black had had the split leg then hands down I would have chosen that. The material is heavy duty so far but not “heavy” on me. It is about the same weight as my winter leather jacket with no lining which is comfortable. But I haven’t gotten overheated even when it jumps to 85-90 degrees F in my garage. So far I am not regretting this decision at all. Should this change I will update my review. ... show more

The apron is sturdy and has plenty of pockets. It’s very stiff but should soften over time. It’s taking some time to adjust the suspenders.
