I'm a gal with big calves and thighs. I got these in an 8.5. The shoe part fits great; the shaft of the boot, however, is VERY tight. I have 15" calves and the point where it hits my thigh is about 20". I'm going to be altering these boots for a cosplay so I think they'll work for my needs, but just barely. ... show more

Wife's 5' 3" 115-120 lbs. These are true thigh high, while her legs are not "thick" there not toothpicks either and they are a little tight on her but they were bought for a specific purpose so they work fine for that. She could not walk around in these for an extended period.

I bought these boots for my birthday celebration. They were really comfortable, the heel was a perfect height for me. Also, the shaft was perfect (I was a little worried that the shaft would not fit because I have large calves). Absolutely love these boots and I got plenty of compliments.
