This adjustable, long handle shoe horn by Yeadmal is amazing! Yes; it is perfect for seniors or anyone with mobility issues as described, but it is also a great instrument for anyone who simply does not want to sit down and work a small shoe horn into their shoes to get them on. This one can be used while sitting as well, as it reduces down to approximately 10", but it also very conveniently and easily adjusts to lengths of various heights should you prefer standing. Also, it conveniently stores away when reduced. The heel grab bar, takes hold of the back of your shoes and does not slip loose. In my opinion, it's priced below its true value. This is a practical tool that offers an easy solution to the common issue of putting on shoes effortlessly. I also tried to use it in the reverse, to remove my shoes, but once the shoes are on my feet, trying to get it to slip behind my heels was a little uncomfortable. For me it works better putting shoes on. But just thought I'd try! ... show more

  • Great design that works better than my other shoehorns
Number of Items: 1
I ordered this to replace a generic long-handled shoehorn that broke while I was putting on shoes. I still had an “as seen on TV" long shoehorn with a clip that helps hold the back of the shoe up. The shape of this one works the same way, keeping the sides of the shoe back from collapsing. I've used this on everything from dress shoes to work boots and it beats the cleverly-named TV-ad shoehorn every time. I thought the handle needed to be able to lock in place like my old one, but it works without retracting. The spring helps this be more comfortable to use as well. The only issue I've had is occasionally catching a pant leg on the top part shown in my picture. Otherwise this is about as good of a shoe aide as I've ever used. ... show more

  • Works great for sneakers
Number of Items: 1
I prefer to wear comfortable sneakers whenever I can, but getting older has made them more difficult to put on, as the backs of the shoes tend to bend in. I have a standard shoe horn. but it does not prevent that without sliding the horn around a lot. Enter this show horn. It fits over the entire back of the shoe, eliminating that problem. Now they go on nice and easy. I don't need the really long handle, I can reach my foot just fine, and it took a bit of getting used to it as it mostly got in the way for me, but I can see the usefulness of that for folks who may have back or girth problems, so that gets a pass. ... show more

  • Helps eliminate back pain too!
Number of Items: 1
I was skeptical about this device, as it looked so different than the usual shoe horn. Once I tried it, I was sold. The telescoping handle is a great idea. When pulled out to full 31” length, mine snapped/locked into place, but with a little squeezing pressure, I could collapse it back down to “travel” size. I leave mine extended and lean it against the wall where I put on my shoes. The design of the cupped back helps me move shoes around to the right position for foot entry. That back cup not only helps my foot glide into my shoes, but is also keeps me from crushing the backs of softer shoes. The BIG plus with this YEADMAL shoe horn was no more “ouch” back pain when putting on shoes. It’s like they reinvented the wheel! ... show more

  • My favorite shoes are out of purgatory thanks to this!
Number of Items: 1
I had this one pair of shoes that I loved, but they kept getting pushed to the back of the shoe closet because they were just such a bear to put on. I have balance issues some days, and hopping around on one foot or crouching to deal with a stuck heel is not a good time. Thankfully, this shoe horn has rescued my favorite shoes! This shoehorn is unlike others I've used in that it has a shield that goes over the back of your shoe to keep it from wrinkling and folding downward, which makes it even more difficult to put on (not to mention damages the shoe). The shield slides onto the back of the shoe and holds everything in place while you slide in your foot. I like that this has a telescopic handle so you can adjust if you're standing or sitting, and you don't need to get down in the trenches to put on your shoes. I recommend this as a nice little quality-of-life upgrade! ... show more

  • Design improvements needed.
Number of Items: 1
The Yeadmal long handle shoe horn is a great idea but this one needs improvements. There is something to be said for the old fashion small metal shoe horn. You can get them with a handle also. With them you can start with it more angled where the opening is more accessible to your foot. The Yeqadmal fits straight down with a wide body that goes over inside and outside of your shoe heal. The handle has a spring but you can’t tilt the handle until you have weight on the shoe to hold it in place. You have to go straight down into the shoe. I can with effort manage but it doesn’t work at all for my wife. It works fair with my dress shoes but I have a pair of walking shoes that have the larger padded heal. Very difficult to get the Yeadmal over the heal. The biggest flaw is the extended handle. Yes it is long but it does not lock in place. You try to push the shoe horn over the heal of your shoe and the handle pushes in before the body of the shoe horn will go over the shoe heal. It apparently works for some but consider these points before buying. ... show more

  • Ingenious Shoe Horn
Number of Items: 1
I have used long shoehorns for putting on my shoes, but this one surpasses all my expectations. It is by far the best I've used. The telescopic handle is excellent for storage, and I don't have to bend over even a tiny bit. What makes this shoehorn ingenious is the shoe funnel part that goes over the sides of the shoe as well. A lot of times a regular shoehorn would help get my foot in, but certain shoes like leather ankle boots or tennis shoes want to fold over under my foot as it goes into the shoe. This prevents that from happening, keeping the sides out of the way of my foot, so no fidgeting or struggling to get my foot in all the way. Highly recommend!!! ... show more
