Frequently asked questions

Shocktato is a thrilling party game where players pass the potato around in a circle or back and forth, trying to avoid getting shocked. It has three game modes: Normal, where music plays and the player holding the potato when the music stops gets a mild shock; Lame, where there's no shock, only music; and Extreme, where the shock comes randomly without any music as a warning. The game continues until there is one person left, who is declared the winner.

Yes, Shocktato is designed to be safe for children. However, it's recommended for teens and older due to the nature of the electric shock. It delivers a mild shock that is more surprising than painful, but adult supervision is advised for younger players to ensure they are comfortable with the game's concept.

Absolutely! Shocktato can be just as fun and entertaining with two players as it is with a group. In a two-player setting, participants simply pass the Shocktato back and forth, trying to avoid being the one holding it when the music stops and a shock is administered in Normal mode, or when the shock comes randomly in Extreme mode.

Yes, Shocktato requires batteries to operate, which are not included with the game. You will need to purchase 3 AAA batteries before you can start playing. Always make sure the batteries are properly installed according to the instructions manual for the game to function correctly.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

```
The Shockpotato game, a quirky and interactive toy, has garnered a lot of positive attention for bringing fun and laughter across various age groups. It features three modes, including one that is safe for younger children, making it a versatile choice for family gatherings or parties. Its shock, compared to a static shock, adds an element of suspense and hilarity to the game, although there's a note on its durability with some users experiencing short-lived functionality.
Pros
  • 🎉 Offers three modes for different comfort levels.
  • 😄 Great for all ages, from middle school students to adults.
  • 🎈 Enhances gatherings with fun and laughter.
  • ⚡ Shock is mild and comparable to a static shock, making it bearable yet thrilling.
Cons
  • ⏲️ Some reports of the game not lasting long, with issues of functionality over time.
  • 🔋 Requires your own batteries, which adds an extra step before use.
  • 🧐 No adjustable shock level to cater to different tolerances.
Should I Buy It?
If you’re looking for a unique, interactive game that brings laughter and excitement to both children and adults alike, the Shockpotato is worth considering. However, be mindful of its potential durability issues and the need for your own batteries. This could be a hit for occasional play rather than a long-term gaming option.
  • Fun game for older teens or adults. Not for kids
Fun game. Definitely for older teens and adults. It’s got a good little jolt. Think the slight zap of touching ur tongue to a 9v battery but ur hands instead. It only lasts a second though. It’s easy fun and definitely durable. The size is nice weights not bad but it’s not soft so it does kinda hurt if u get hit unexpectedly. Definitely not for kids. I would suggest age 15+ ... show more
I got this as a funny gift for my 10 year old last xmas and oddly enough it ended up being my 5 year old lil dare devils favorite toy lol which in turn was entertainment for my older son as he cried laughing at his lil brother getting shocked repeatedly by a potato. It made a memorable Xmas for sure! ... show more
  • what a shocking fun item.
It is a great idea kind of like musical chairs. It has 3 settings and uses ( 2) AAA batteries. The low setting has music but no shock. Regular setting has music and shocks and it will get your attention. Not for kids at this setting. It has extreme setting which I have not tried yet because the regular setting was quite enough of a shock. I am sure there are others at a party, you know the brave ones, that will put it on extreme and see how long they can hold it but not I. lol. Anyway choose your setting and you pass it to the next person using 2 hands to pass and 2 hands to recieve. When the music stops, you get shocked and you are out. Then resume with the rest of the players. It is a fun thing especially at a drinking adult party. Try it. you'll like it. ... show more
  • Broke after two used
Played with it twice and it got dropped, as it should be able to, and now doesn’t work. Gave it as a gift and missed the return window. Way too fragile to break after two uses when the intent it to throw it from person to person.
  • Batteries not included
