Shinko 241 is a gummy trials pattern tread that sticks to pavement and gets great traction in the dirt. If trials riders use this pattern, you probably are not going to outride it. This is all the knob you'll need on the gutless CT. The 3.00 inch will just clear the front fender for street use. For off-road, use the 2.75 inch in front if you're not willing to use fender risers or do minor mods to the fender. Excellent tires but don't expect super long tread life. ... show more

    • Good on road traction, but they are not off-road performers
Tires look good and are relatively smooth on road, however they are too smooth off road. If you ride in anything other than packed wet dirt or grass the traction is sub par. They will have you white knuckling in sand and praying to god if you come up on mud before you have time to slow down. I have had to drag my bike out of some spots since they simply refuse to grab sometimes. Good on the street though and will get you around nicely on dirt roads as well, just don’t plan on any serious off-roading with these tires. ... show more

I use these on my 1971 CB100 Honda with very satisfactory results. They are soft enough for great traction but not too soft so as to make for short life span. I expect to get many years of service from these tires.
