these lights are outstanding! no pinpoint lights; they have a smooth continuous color and the cord does not heat up making you nervous that it is going to burn out. They are a little pricey but I am confident that they are going to be worth the investment and I am not going to have to replace them every year. 3 stars. The product is fine, comes on a reel that gets REALLY hot if you plug it in and leave it for a bit. :-) The light is good, a pleasant white that is not too much. Plugged in and work great. 3 stars for the hardware. The screws are such poor quality, the heads (crosstip)stripped with my driver. Started putting them in by hand, and stripped them out with a screwdriver. I predrilled every hole, and that went ok. The brackets that 'pinch' the lights are also very brittle, if they are too open to grasp the led lights well, I tried to gently close them up. They often snapped. I installed the lights, but based on the above issues, did so anticipating a 20% loss in hardware. The product is great. I might buy again, but will look at other products first, particularly the mounting hardware. ... show more

It was a bit dark outside my townhouse so I thought some trim lighting would be helpful. This rope light worked out great for me. The only thing I had to do was add on cable tie holders in some critical areas. The clips it came with (10) weren’t enough for my liking. The metal clips came with tiny wood screws, but I bought longer ones at my local hardware store. The clips work good, but not great. If I had a straight run with no wood that I had to go over, they’d be okay at best. The one thing the metal clips do well, and why you should use the, is they keep the rectangular lights from twisting, and keep it straight up and down. The cable tie clips I had, and used, really anchored the light strip while going over the wood under my trim as you can see in the pictures… I started at one end and installed it til I was done, and then drilled a 1 inch hold under the eve and snaked it into my storage. I then plugged it into a short extension cord, and then into a timer so it would come on automatically. It worked perfectly, and I love the way it looks when I come home… time will tell how long it will last, but being LED, I’m expecting a long life… cheers ... show more

The light is not bright, is barely bright as a ste guide... not for illuminating anything important. also the color of the light is not even close to be 2500k is way more cold tahn that. looks awful overall. wasted my itme on false misleading promises

Heavy duty rope lights. Very easy to install, they give you plenty of clips to install the lights, fits perfectly in the channel of the clips. They should last for years, I installed them on the top of my fence which is 9 ft. High and will never plan to take it down. They are very bright. What I like the most is that I can control the rope light from in my house to the back fence where it is installed, and about 100 ft. From my house with the remote! ... show more
