Forget the negative stuff you read in earlier reviews. We ordered two natural unpainted tables. They arrived in great shape three days earlier than expected. Bought a 12 oz spray can of clear wood protectant, took 15 minutes to cover both of them with just one can. They look great, are sturdier than expected (I wouldn’t put too much weight on them, maybe 20 lbs max...they are NOT a seat/bench), and contrary to what somebody wrote, they are totally preassembled, ready to roll right out of the box. I have a very old, folding, square side table that I really love. I decided to try to find a similar table, to have an extra one. I searched through so many choices until I finally saw this table. It looked exactly like my old table! I purchased it and when it arrived the aroma from its wood was so wonderful! It is so similar to my old table in every way. I love the natural color of it and the natural wood that it is made from. It is so easy and simple to fold it up totally flat when not in use. It is very light but very sturdy. For the money,... its a really nice small/medium sized table. Good to set your laptop on or drinks and burgers between two people on the patio. A little bit flimsie but not really that bad. It folds nicely for storage. Mr manufacturer... A little closer spacing between the slats would be nice, small based drinks might tip? I bought the cedar unfinished model. I'm going to stain it myself as the cedar wood has a nice grain. I don't think you could build this table yourself for the same cost if you had to buy the cedar wood at your local big box retailer. Please ignore the negative reviews. I almost did not buy this table due to the negative reviews. I ordered two tables to put beside a log porch swing. I like the fact that the tables fold up; they will be easy to store in the garage in the winter. The tables arrived securely packed with styrofoam around all sides. They came assembled and ready to use right out of the box. These tables are made out of cedar which is an aromatic wood with large knots. That is the nature of cedar. The "filler" or "glue" spoken of in reviews has indeed been applied to the knots in the wood. I believe it is wood filler. This makes sense because it smooths out the wood, and will help to prevent areas for rain/moisture to accumulate. the tables are well-sanded and will be beautiful once I have applied stain. I hope to update with a photo once the tables are stained and outside. ... show more

This table is literally the worst thing I have ever ordered on Amazon. The manufacturers used the absolute worst quality of wood and couldn't even be bothered to sand it at ALL. I got a sliver just lifting it from the box. I am stunned that anyone would think this is worth $75. Note that most of the good reviews purchased the unpainted table. ... show more

I really like this table. I used this in Florida for placing my plants in the outside patio. So they get plenty of sun and rain and leaves. I stained it and used a weather protector to enhance the lifespan of the table. So far so good. When I bought this table it was fairly inexpensive. Since then the price has increased considerably. This little table is extremely well made, sturdy, and folds flat for storage. We bought it for our RV (cocktails anyone?) but it would be equally at home on the patio or by the pool. The only thing you should know is that the manufacturer recommends putting a polyurethene coating on the painted tables, and some kind of wood sealer on the plain cedar table.
