This item says you can use it before or after tanning. I ended up using it post sun as a moisturizer because that's what it is. The fragrance is light and def smells like carrot oil. It has the consistency of a whipped lotion but goes on and feels like aloe vera gel. It takes a bit to dry down and if you don't let it dry completely, its capable of staining clothes, sheets and furniture. Be warned! As a person who tans deeply, daily and often in my pool, this does nothing to enhance a tan. It's not a color depositing product. Its a moisturizer and of course moisturizing can help the skin maintain color but it doesnt make you tan or increase your tan. Take note! I wouldn't choose this over other products I own and use.

This tanning gel is lightweight, is nicely absorbed into the skin and has a light pleasant scent. I spend a lot of time working out in the sun every day and find this tanning gel to be very moisturizing and non-irritating.

Michigan weather hasn't been the most cooperative when it comes to having sunshine on days I'm actually free to tan in it, but that's hardly this gel's fault! I think I really like this product. It feels good on my skin and doesn't leave me feeling sticky. It smells good without messing with my fragrance allergies. I feel summery with this on my legs, whether the sun comes out to play or not! I've maybe gotten a hint of color on my legs so far. With any luck I will actually get to use this on a few sunny days before summer is over and I will update my review with any noticeable results!

This item is ok. There really isn't a smell. I am still noticing a somewhat tint of orange in this product but it's not that bad compared to some other tanning products I have tried. The price is reasonable and I will keep using it if they keep the price lower. It does make your skin feel soft too.
