Very strong and thick without being heavy which means you can put more things on it. Holds medium sized books perfectly. The metal bars used to hold it up is the perfect design because it keeps it from falling off unlike all the other ones ive owned. Overall, the shelves are a good design and the wall hole template worked well, but the screws and anchors are not a good fit and the shelves sagged after a few weeks (I saw this coming during installation process). A trip to Home Depot and six dollars solve the problem with higher quality anchors and screws. I would have given this four stars, even with that problem, but I had to go down to three because I could not put the new hardware into the old holes because anchors pull out too much drywall. ... show more

Notice the "Rustic Wood" in the title - you might find a spot or two of thinner paint that looks like a flaw but it's mentioned in other reviews and must be part of the effect. This can be easily patched up but overall the value is great considering the steel floating frame which can be stretched apart more to make a very solid connection into the floating shelf. I appreciate Pine wood over the more common MDF and they are packaged and shipped well but you can choose to select Amazon Packaging over revealed product packaging if you have the option. ... show more

I unfortunately did not get around to hanging these until after the return window. This is the worst quality shelf I have ever seen. The shelves are sagging and not supported by the “supports”. They look like they are going to fall out of the wall if I just place a finger on them. The anchors are terrible quality and the “wood” is a pressboard that feels more like a dense styrofoam. Absolutely terrible. I’m going to buy some additional support brackets to see if I can salvage using them, but I’m not sure it will work. Absolutely AVOID this product.
