  • Great System
First time I have used this product. Heard a lot of good and bad things about this system. Glad I ordered the Sharkbite system. Fixed both of my plumbing problems in about 30 minutes and I have " NO LEAKS ". It is very easy to use and saved me a bunch of money by not having to call a pro plumber, which by the way, most of them no longer work on nylon pipes. i am very pleased with this purchase and the Sharkbite System, only wish I had used it sooner. Great product. ... show more

  • First try at PEX, worked OK
My small, 2-bedroom house had some bad galvanized pipes; the old plumbing had both low flow rates and leaks. It is one story with a crawl space. So the plumbing was very accessible from the crawl space. I replaced most of those 1/2 inch gavanized pipes using this tool. Because this was my first experience with PEX I bought some extra tubing and a couple of extra inexpensive fittings to practice with. The crimp process was easy to learn, and the job went smoothly. Recommended for someone with any former plumbing experience and a helpful partner or wife. ... show more

  • A Great Pex Crimp Tool
Seems to be a really good tool and it is easier to use then the ratcheting steel clamp tool that it is replacing. My old ratcheting clamp tool started jamming constantly, so I bought this and it is a big improvement. Although this cannot be used one handed, I usually had to use 2 hands to ratchet down the old one all of the way anyhow. This tool is actually much easier to use then the old one, it is designed like a like a small bolt cutter so it does not take much force crimp the rings. It requires a bit more space to use then a ratcheting steel clamp tool, also there has to be enough room around the fitting to for the tool to fit all of the way around the fitting instead of just reaching the tab on a clamp. The build quality seems great and the design is simple so I expect this tool to last through many years of home use. ... show more

  • A Great Plumbers Tool
I had to replace a water heater. This tool made the job a lot easier. I used it to connect the plex pipe. The tool is made of tough metal that was easy to crimp the rings together. It's great for plumbing jobs.

  • Detailed review A MUST READ..
I am a do-it-yourself homeowner. I owned this tool for about ten plus years. I converted all old plumbing to pex shark bite. Now I lost my original tool and ad to go get another one. The one I replaced my original one with was the Apollo crimp tool. I do not recommend the Apollo tool it will not crimp 1/2-inch shark bite rings and you will have leaks guaranteed. So, I threw out the Apollo one lost money there and went on amazon in search for this tool. Time for the review of the shark bite crimp tool. This tool is true 1/2 to 3/4. other tools other than this tool is not true to the advertisement. The crimp feature for this product is easy to understand. You will never have to worry about leaks. Now I know you all are thinking well why was other one so bad. The one I threw away destroyed the crimp 1/2 ring to the point where it made the crimp 1/2 ring impossible to perform the job it was made to do. I recommend this product to any do it self-homeowner like me. ... show more
