Heavy duty construction. Has good weight to it which I like. Instructions are necessary and easy to understand. Keep the box! Apparently the box is lined to prevent the magnet from destroying your electronics. Reviews state it works well, I’m about to put it to the test snorkeling in a known shark 🦈 area. Thought it was a fun idea and couldn’t hurt.

People try to tell Me it’s a waste, but I know it’s not. I’ve always loved the ocean but it’s been hard to shake the thought of shark’s mistaking me for food. I will easily swim with sharks out in Crystal , Clearwater, but knowing that if I can’t see them, they can barely see me scares me. I’ve had one encounter with a shark since my shark band. Me and my friend were walking into the water to take a dip and we were about thigh deep when a wave came over a shark about 3 feet long and the shark freaked out and swam away from us. We were probably only 3 feet from the shark. This right here give me peace of mind that it was actually scaring it away.

My husband, son, and I wear these when we surf, in a place that is known to be a great white breeding ground. I saw a stingray hop out if rocky water to get away from my SharkBanz. More recently, we were surfing and a 6' juvenile shark went right past me (3 feet away), not interested in me at all (SharkBanz?). It cruised past and stayed away. Good thing!

Chances of getting bitten are small and hopefully this further negates it. It's heavier and not really comfortable, but in the water it weighs a lot less. Keep and store in the box to not fry electronics like an apple watch or phone. Glad I got the white, most people get darker less conspicuous colors. But with the white I can see it very easily as to not forget it in the shower or anyplace else.

Wife and I surf. Plenty shark sightings where we live. Gives me some peace of mind but I know it’s not guaranteed to work. Better than nothing. Feel like a kook walking to and from the water with it on, like other surfers looking at us like we’re lame, but I just don’t want to lose a limb or die. Strap is pretty long. If you’re skinny like me, you’ll have excess. Magnet is very strong. Keep the box for storage.

This product is a strong magnet you wear on your ankle (watch out where you store it!). It is comfortable and easy to put on. I'm not sure if it really works; however, I never saw any sharks while swimming/snorkeling in HI where there are tons of aggressive tiger sharks. In fact, the SharkBanz was mandatory equipment to swim in a local group of shoreline swimmers. It comes in several colors to match your style. I strongly recommend this product - better safe than bitten!
