I picked these up as a gift for a friend who plays golf every weekend, and they were an absolute hit—literally and figuratively. The Shanker exploding balls look just like real golf balls out of the box, so he didn’t suspect anything. As soon as he took his first swing and the ball burst into a cloud of powder, everyone completely lost it. Even he couldn’t stop laughing once he realized what happened. The “explosion” is more of a quick puff of harmless white powder, which makes the prank funny without creating any mess that sticks to clothes or gear. The timing was perfect too—there’s just enough delay to make the golfer convinced they actually sliced a shot before it all disappears into a cloud. The packaging is simple but convincing, and the balls themselves feel realistic enough that no one will question them. We bought and repackaged these in a traditional sleeve. Buddy didn’t notice and hit one and it exploded on contact! It’s very realistic looking and didn’t throw any red flags. All 3 exploded perfectly and is definitely a prank we will buy and pull again!

    • Good gag gift for fun times on the course
I pulled one of these out of my bag when I golfed with my dad this past Father's Day and it worked perfectly. The cloud of smoke when he made contact was big and the shock of him hitting it was hilarious, definitely a great memory for Father's Day. There are a couple of things I did notice about these that may tip off the person you flip the ball to in hopes of having a laugh. These are noticeably lighter than actual golf balls so if someone catches it and actually picks up on it then the joke won't work, also there's a grove where the two halves of the golf ball meet so the off chance the person notices that could tip them off as well. Or if they're nosy like me and look for the name of the brand of ball they're using, they'll notice a name they've never seen before. The media could not be loaded. NOT EXPLODING BALLS! these are NOT the loud boom explosion golf balls from viral videos. The description is misleading. They are a fragile cheap plastic ball filled with powder they just break and leave trash it is not an explosion or even a good prank.

When you read the word exploding you think they will make a noise when hit and explode. Nope just turns into powder. Still funny as hell either way just wish there was a bang from the ball
