I started fishing with a guy that fished a lot. Mainly crappie and blue gill. He was color blind but he could see the green. He taught me a lot. Got me a new open face ultra light 5' long. The line was clear to heavy of test and had a memory. That is what causes bird nests. Told me to take to his fish place and ask to put new 4lb test and green on it. When U cast and line is sitting U should not see coils.4 lb is stronger than U think I seen him land a 8 lb blue cat with that rig, FUN. I also fish for bigger cats. I use a 3 way rig with 8-10 lb leader and 20-30 main line but for the sinker I use a 4 lb. If it gets hung up it will brake and I keep the rest. I have many lbs test of this line. I also find it easier to see tying a knot. LOL I have 3 very young grand daughters and I tie a lot of knots. ... show more
