Its shorter than you'd think so it sits much closer to your neck and you do have to arrange it a little so the braids lay flat since the piece doesn't really drape. But very classy statement piece. I love the chainmail/armor look. It's fantastic and I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't difficult to get on. The clasp isn't stable so it takes some patience to put on. Often times I take it with me to put on later because dealing with it while getting ready is aggravating. But if you have someone to help you, it should be easier.
