The toy is very soft and squishy and has two entry holes but no holes in the back. I prefer this as it gives extra suction but can make it slightly harder to clean. I do not notice much of a difference personally because its still super easy to clean and dry using a drying stick! i really recommend this toy! its still small enough you can store it away easily but the extra weight and size makes for a greater experience in use.
