For the price I thought this would be built and designed cheaper than it is. The metal frame is well built and very sturdy, making the whole cabinet very solid. I could see this lasting quite awhile even with frequent use which, again for the price, is surprising. Directions are easy, however the metal screw holders kept breaking (number 31), and there were not extras which means we don’t have enough support for the entire shelf to make it sturdy. The quality of the pieces holding the shelf together makes the entire item unstable and janky. And the ones that didn’t break did not seat onto the second part correctly which makes the pieces stick out and look un-finished Would not recommend. Note- I buy from Amazon and Ikea often. I have many cheap and expensive items of furniture that I have put together and am well versed in putting these types of items together. This is the cheapest made one I’ve ever encountered, and the price does not match the quality. I’ve spent less on better quality items. ... show more

It was actually easy to assemble. I am wondering how much weight it's ok to add to the extension. I have a heavy sewing machine and a lighter one. I feel it's ok only for the light one. The doors do not open all the way. That would have been nice. I added a light inside otherwise is too dark.
