It will take a couple of hours to build if you take your time. I could probably build a second one in less than an hour now that I know how to assemble. The wood top is not removable but is really nice quality. I like the handle on the front since I am rolling this under a workbench. The drawers are smooth but not ball bearing smooth. Not an issue, just you have to be a little careful with them. 4 keys are included. A few light scratches came from the factory even though it was packed very well. I am sure I will bang it up over the years to come. I purchased two more swivel casters WEB128 for $29.99 from the factory to replace the two wheels in the back that did not swivel. Considering the free shipping cost, I would say it's very good in this price range. It has a beautiful industrial design and surface finish. A great toolbox if aesthetics is an important factor. The toolbox isn't sturdy enough for commercial needs and it has fitment issues, but it should be strong enough for car enthusiasts except if somebody is planning to use it as a jacking platform. Also, if you cannot fix the fitment issue, you actually don't need a toolbox in my opinion. Again, it looks much nice than many toolboxes in thousand dollars range. Mostly the 1-star reviews complaining about assembly and sturdiness. I found the opposite true. Took me under an hour to assemble the cabinet, following the instructions carefully. Drawers open fine - there is an interlock to prevent multiple drawers open at once, but that's not really an issue for me. Would I like it to be less expensive? Sure. But the quality of mine is quite fine. Excited to use it for years to come. ... show more

    • Read this BEFORE YOU BUY!!! NOT WORTH THE PRICE

This is a very LARGE item much bigger and heavier than expected . The top wood seems fine mine had some blemishes but no real issue with that, the front silver metallic doors are THIN AND WEAK not what I expected since the rest of it is heavy. Took 4 hours to put together… the instructions were poor and had to watch several videos to figure it out. The Drawers are only an inch deep and DO NOT HOLD much of anything maybe a few screw drivers? When I decided this was NOT WORTH THE PRICE !!! And decided to send it back they REFUSED to return it unless I dis assembled it and put it all back in the box it came in … REALLY ??? UGH WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY!!! Read all the reviews before deciding. Let me preface my review with this: I can assemble furniture (IKEA, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.) without incident. This was absurdly easy. Small stickers with words and arrows inside each panel show clearly where the “top/left” sides are. These are machine screws, so there is no need for a power tool, just patience, and knowing not to tighten ONE before all are in place and fairly snug. It is assembled upside down, and flipped only to put on the cabinet’s locking doors. One mistake I made (and easily fixed) was not paying attention to the caster wheels: only 2 have locks, and those 2 go on the front. I’d just grabbed and screwed on the ones with locks before recognizing my mistake. No problem, unscrewed and put in correct position. Very attractive—that wood top!! Sorry to put it in the basement! Using it as a liquor cabinet (teens on site) camouflaged as a table for tools...without making a big deal about the liquor “disappearing” from its former place in the dining room. Yes, if they wanted to “break in” they probably could...but not without causing damage, and ending up in serious hot water. ... show more

Everything. the top and the locks are better than I expected and the precision all around were very satisfying. I use it for tool storage mostly. But I'll find more uses for it. The work top is great to have as a work surface.

I bought two of these to use in my salon and they work great. My only nit-pic is that there's a safety feature on the top three drawers so that no more than one draw can be opened at one time. It's a good feature, but sometimes annoying to make sure that all drawers are closed.
