Amazing quality; well-packed / rock solid. It's challenging to find a high-quality workbench online that doesn't cost three times the price of a 'Seville Classics HD Workbench.' I have been buying, ordering and putting together tools and equipment for more than 30 years. Unlike most, this was packed well; everything was labeled. The setup instructions were clear, and what amazed me over and over was the high quality materials and attention to details. This bench comes with 'extras' others would charge for (light [with bulb]), easily attached power strip, non guesswork instructions,) but the maker/seller priced it right and gives you everything you need for a job well done--no running to the hardware store for this or that--all you will probably want to add is a decent vise that suits the work you plan to do. I recommend this bench, and if other products in the 'Seville HD' line are as well designed and manufactured, a person could set up an entire garage with bench and storage gear from a single manufacturer. Pros: 1) Use of welded, threaded inserts throughout--High quality materials--durable finish; extremely well packed (box arrives looking worn due to the weight inside and shipping cross-country, but it's double boxed; interior compartments are Styrofoam reinforced.) 2) Any painted surface is wrapped in plastic to help ensure defect-free delivery 3) Every screw or bolt went in right the first time; bags of 'extra' screws/nuts/bolts just in case 4) Clear instructions and accurate drawings; have a magnifier handy for drawings 5) Solidly built / lots of thought evident in packaging and labeling of all parts 6) Hardwood top alone (compared to other benches) is worth the price 7) Lots of helpful directional labels showing 'top' / 'front' / 'back' / 'left' / 'right' on components where such positioning guidance is needed; makes fool-proof assembly easier 8) Drawers are held together with so many screws I have complete confidence in their load-bearing ability; 9) Drawer slides were a bit tricky to install -- but follow the manual's advice about loose-fitting the bracket retention mount screws until drawers are set Cons: 1) I didn't find this product two benches ago! 2) Two people are advisable for some assembly steps; I managed with 1 person, a small stepladder and a few Irwin one-handed clamps, but 2 on the job would have helped General tips: A. Read the instructions -- They're a bit wordy for experienced people, but thorough so novices will get it right B. Carefully remove hardwood top from inside packaging (it's held as a box-in-a-box); it is packed with Styrofoam sheets that protect it, but had the disadvantage of ‘greasing the skids’ around 50 pounds of hardwood; it slides out very easily -- weight can carry it to the floor (and damage it) in half a second -- I luckily caught mine / no damage. C. Included screwdriver is adequate, but I found a small power driver set on a low torque / low speed moved the job along--use only if very familiar with your driver because it is easy to over-tighten screws. D. have a large work area to set this up -- finished piece sits counter high -- top is 2x4 feet and overall height (floor to top of pegboard,) is a bit over 5.5 feet tall; it takes 2x to 3x that much space to set it up without tripping over yourself Other than a handmade bench designed by a master craftsman, this is the best bench I have found for the money; it is a solid, well-made piece that is heavy enough to use for metal and wood working, maintenance, a reloading bench or other work that needs storage, counter space, and is substantial enough to hold a 4-6 inch vise. You can mount a woodworker’s vise on either end and there is enough space for a steel or cast iron mechanics bench vise depending on what else is going onto the work surface. This is easily three times the quality of anything you'll find at Harbor Freight and most DIY stores, yet it’s a third to half the price!....If you need a bench that will last for years and stand up to anything except deliberate abuse with a sledgehammer, this is the one! ... show more

It took a while to put together by myself, but the instructions were decent and would have went a bit faster if I used a drill. It comes with a nice magnetic screwdriver for piecing it together and went together nicely with no issues with any misalignment. It looks really nice in my garage and shows off how organized you can be with your tools and such. It comes with a little bit of pegboard hardware but you might want to pick up another little kit with bins and hooks to hang heavier items as well. Overall, it's solid and looks great so it's worth it to me. You'll most likely enjoy it if you are in the market for something like this! ... show more

For $235 I'm actually quite impressed with the quality. I guess I've gotten used to paying for junk and have low expectations when I buy stuff, but this was a pleasant surprise. There were no issues during assembly and I actually enjoyed it. Directions were clear and concise. A power drill with torque settings is essential to getting this done in a timely fashion without killing your hands due to the sheer amount of tight-threaded screws it takes to build this bench. A quality dual-wrench and magnetic screwdriver are included if you have nothing else. This thing is beefy and it's screwed down at every conceivable spot for maximum strength. Once assembled you know this things can take a beating and easily hold several hundred pounds on the table top without breaking a sweat. The natural hardwood table top is over an inch thick with a basic glazing. Industrial grade rubber feet are adjustable to ensure maximum stability. The included light is perfect for this bench, gives off plenty of usable light. The power strip is actually a decent quality, snaps in perfectly to the peg board and is UL listed - which is important. The peg board is thick gauge steel and sturdy, the pegs are high quality as well with round balls on the back to keep them in place when adding and removing items. The drawers were the only point of contention based on some reviews but my experience was flawless. The ball bearings work great, the drawers tuck in nice and deep under the table top with a smooth glide. I have one drawer holding all my air compressor tools and attachments (at least 25lbs) and the drawer show no signs of stress or fatigue. Another nice touch is the drawers "lock in" at the very end, ensuring it never slides out by accident. At $235 this feels like bargain, it would be impossible (and a hassle) to assemble everything here for less. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and my wife was very pleased with the fit and finish as well, it looks fantastic in our garage. It's modern but industrial looking with great finishes and no sharp edges. It really has a quality look and feel and I can't wait to use it on my next project. Highly recommended! ... show more
