Really like this shelf. Love the way the shelf looks. It was packaged really well, came in two days earlier than expected, the instructions were very straight forward, and all the parts were clearly labeled. It came with two spare parts of each of the hardware and a decent magnetic screwdriver which is quite nice. It definitely needs to be anchored in which I haven't had the chance to do yet, it's a bit wobbly (but I also have carpet and funky floors so that's not the shelves fault). One thing I noticed that I didn't *love* were the dowels- the dowels are kind of thin and short compared the holes they were going into. I'd buy it again! Also- if you bought more than one you could connect them with the metal cross pieces in the back which would be pretty rad. ... show more

Got this shelf and started loading it up with bourbon. Holds a lot of bottles. Would suggest securing it to the wall with the included anchors and ties. It’s a solid piece. Put it together in half an hour. It’s heavy enough to stand on its own but not too heavy you can’t move it with one person. It looks great. The shelves aren’t adjustable but if you need more height on a shelf I would leave one out. ... show more

I was afraid when I saw the box that it for sure would have broken pieces. The box was smashed, crushed, torn, taped back up and was barely holding together. But NOTHING INSIDE WAS BROKEN!!! They sure know how to pack them, I guess! It was prettier than I thought it’d be. Very rustic industrial vibe. It was super easy to put together but took quite awhile with just one person. I think it’s fairly sturdy. Big bolts, heavy duty metal, lots of screws per shelf. I’m using it for games in the dining room on half, at least. Fits most great with the wider shelves than many. I ordered this because I knew I needed two bookcases and didn't want to have two separate units. I also loved the detail of the shelves. Overall I love this and do recommend it. However, the image is photoshopped a bit. The metal frame comes in two parts--the majority of the U-shape and then about a foot that attaches to the bottom. The photos show it as a single piece of metal, but when you assemble it, you can clearly see it is two pieces. It's not a deal breaker but if you know it's there, you'll see it. I did add glue to the wood dowels and the shelves are super sturdy and very nice looking. The box it comes in is very heavy. I was able to move it myself by pushing it across the floor. If you have a second person it'll be easier but it can be done. It's packaged really well and the instructions are very easy to understand. They even include the tools, I ended up using my own, but that was just personal preference. You'll need about double the space of the actual size to build this as the shelves slide in between the metal frame bars from the side instead of from the top or bottom like on most furniture. ... show more

Great shelf for the price! I was surprised when I realized the pieces are actually solid wood. That alone was worth it for me even if its a lower quality wood. It seems to be sealed/coated with something somewhat decent that gives a wonderful faux walnut finish. I got two of these to accommodate my ever expanding book collection. First thing to note. These are some heavy motherlickers. Almost 100 lbs each. You're probably going to want help bringing them inside. Assembly was pretty straight-forward. Directions were clear. A little time consuming, about an hour per unit to assemble. I would highly recommend completing the frame assembly before tightening any of the screws completely to give yourself a little wiggle room when trying to get everything to fit together. Once assembled, they're very sturdy and very attractive. A little on the pricey side for my taste, but probably worth it as I expect they're going to last a long time. ... show more
