I have been a lotion user on my face for years. For several reasons I wanted to switch to something more hydrating so I chose a mixture of this aloe Vera gel and sweet almond oil. My skin LOVES it and the aloe is so hydrating and soothing. This aloe is of superior quality with a good texture. I chose this brand initially because of the basic ingredients without a bunch of added chemicals. But I’m pleased to say that it really does feel wonderful on my skin! I literally used to hate washing my face because it was one more hassle, but now I really look forward to it as self care because of how good the aloe feels!

We have been using a pure aloe gel for a rash my husband got on his torso after I switched to a cheap dryer sheet product. He ran out so we decided to try this brand because it is made of pure aloe. This is a great aloe gel. It absorbs quickly and doesn't feel sticky and is great for sunburn. However, it has a really unpleasant smell. Not sure I would purchase it again for that reason alone.

I started using pure liquid Castile soap in September of 2022 and that completely eliminated my need for lotion, but my hands still needed SOMETHING. They still got flaky especially on my palms and were still somewhat prone to cracks (but tiny ones in places that weren't painful - I used to get them in the most painful places on my hands). It wasn't bad enough that I resorted to using lotion though. I hate using lotion because it gets on everything I touch afterward. I still needed it just a little bit though but my skin was significantly better after switching to the pure Castile soap. My solution was to just rub my hands together over a sink to get the flakes off. heh It worked quite well though and left my hands feeling softer. So I liked doing that. This is my first time using aloe. I started using this 3 days ago and my hands are already far better than they were before. I no longer need to rub them together to get flakes off! So this is huge! I know that it sounds like I'm reviewing aloe in general, but the 5 stars is because of the quality of this stuff. While shopping, I read that some aloe products can be sticky, hard to spread, can contain lots of bad and unnecessary ingredients, and can contain an inferior aloe. With the Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel, I think I'm getting the same experience that I'd get if I were getting aloe directly from the plant. It even smells like real aloe. I knew someone who had a real aloe plant and they showed me how they use it. I don't leave this on my hands even though it does dry cleanly and doesn't feel like it's still there. I can still smell it and if my hands get warm and sweaty, they sweat easier than normal. So I know it's still there for sure. I'm a stickler for clean hands so that I keep my belongings clean (including handles on things like doors). So, I apply this liberally and I coat my hands completely and evenly. Then I wash it off 20 minutes later. This is the way I did it the first time and just like magic, my hands were soft and flake-free for the rest of the day! Yes, after just 1 use! So yeah, I don't want to stop using this, especially now with winter here in Minnesota. I used to think aloe was over-hyped, but all the hype is true. It's amazing stuff, and I like this Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel so much that I don't have any interest in trying anything else.

This product has very minimal additives (there has to be some for it to be shelf stable) but otherwise it is pure and not cut with anything else. The healing properties seem to be still in tact and very strong at that! It totally healed my sunburn within about a day and a half over the course of only three applications!
