Rheyre cute and great for the price point. The color and appearance are true to the photos and they help absorb ant condesnation that comes from any drinks I put on it. So far they seem pretty durable and no scratches from use.

So these look nice, u get alot of them & they are very thirsty soak up lots of moisture BUT if you spill anything dark on them eg. Coffee...you will never get the stain out no matter how much u scrub them & it looks shabby

Absorbency: I have had several different styles of these absorbent stone coasters over the years. The last ones I bought were the brand name Thirsty Stone thinking the original would be superior. I was wrong. These and other marble type stones are much more "thirsty" than the sandstone type. These marble type stones absorb water into the stone almost instantly, where it can take a few minutes for the sandstone type to absorb surface water. Stains: Once these get stained, they are essentially impossible to clean, but for the price, it's pretty cost-effective to replace them. The sandstone type do seem to resist stains better, but the superior absorbency of the marble type far outweighs the stain resistance of the sandstone type.

They're very attractive and practical. The cork backing is protective of wood surfaces and they do absorb water - not instantly, but as well as you can expect and enough to keep any droplets from getting onto the furniture. I bought two sets - one black, one white and spread them all over the house. Very happy with my purchase.
