It had been a while since I had a down comforter, and I didn’t want to spend a whole lot on a top of the line one since Winter isn’t very cold here in Southern California anyway. It looked and felt great right out of the box and really didn’t need much time to “fluff up” Feels good on the skin if you don’t want to put it inside a Duvet cover, which you probably should, but I just lay my Duvet cover on top of it so I can just pull the cover off if the 2 combined are a tad too warm. It’s warm without being hot, and lightweight enough not to feel heavy. Feels light-to-medium in weight. There was a very slight smell of feathers for a few days, but it was pleasant and not a bad one at all. I’m pleased with my purchae, especially for the price. Looks just about as good as my last Down comforter which I got from the Pacific Coast Feather company if I remember right, whcih was excellent but at least $200 I’ve only had this one for a couple of months so I can’t say how good the durability is yet ... show more

I live in southern California. This comforter is a perfect fit for the So-Cal weather, since in so-Cal it gets cold at night, hot during the day throughout the year. The product has no smells. If you’re looking for something that you can use year round, this is not it. I ordered the Serta "Down Fiber Comforter, Queen Size - Extra Warmth, 100% Cotton, 300 Thread Count, 500 Fill Power, White, 90x90 inch" on June 17, 2024. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue with the product. Right out of the box, I noticed loose fibers scattered around my bedroom, which I initially thought was just excess from the packaging. However, over the next few weeks, the fibers continued to shed excessively, creating a mess and even causing severe respiratory issues and floating into my food and beverages throughout my apartment. Despite controlling for all other variables, I've confirmed that the fibers are coming from the comforter itself due to a manufacturing defect. I expected much better quality from Serta, but this comforter has been nothing but problematic. I hope others don't experience the same issues, and while Amazon said I'm outside their return/replacement window (by a few weeks), I’m pursuing a return or replacement through Serta. I'll update my review with the results of that. ... show more
