My husband and I each purchased a helmet so we can communicate while riding our e-bikes. He was against the idea because he didn’t want to wear a helmet at all. After being forced to try it out he now loves it. Prior to buying these helmets we couldn’t hear each other while riding. Now we can warn each other of approaching cars, obstacles, directions, or just chat. It’s so nice. The microphones don’t pick up any wind noise. One odd thing about our helmets is that his has FM radio capability and mine doesn’t. I called the company to ask why this was since they are the same model. His was produced earlier than mine. They blamed it on Covid which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. If a company wants to remove a major feature from their product then they should change the model number as well. I was pretty upset that a feature was removed from my helmet at first. We haven’t used the radio feature so it hasn’t affected us so far. If I ever ride solo I might have liked to have the radio feature though. I would remove a star for that except these are really great helmets that provide so much benefit and added safety that I hate to reduce their rating. Just be aware that at this point your helmet will probably come without radio.

The intercom really works well, very clear for conversations. The Speakers don't have a lot of bass. The microphone is really good at not picking up wind noise. You can actually hear your partner whisper. Have talked on the phone and that works well also. I especially like it for a couple biking together. With a larger group there might be TMI. If you have a really large head the helmet might be too small for you.

My husband and I enjoy riding bikes together but always wish we could communicate. This helmet is the answer! We bought 2 and absolutely love them! A little hard to initially set up but after that it's pretty easy. The sound is so clear and the range is awesome. Highly recommend this helmet!

We recently bought e-bikes and went on a trip. We were on moderate trails with lots of trees and turns so I frequently lost eye contact with my husband. It was a little breezy, but not really windy. These helmets were great! We were always in contact so I knew which trail to take at a fork and didn't have any problem with wind noise. We went on a short ride without them and I really missed being able to communicate with him. I would definitely purchase these helmets again. After riding ATVs for the past 20 years without communication, I would never go back to a helmet without it. It made a huge difference in the enjoyment of our rides.

Husband and I took up outdoor cycling last year. Glad a friend suggested Sena helmets. We can have normal conversations! Fit is great. I have a M and hubby a L Range is great. Now I don’t have to worry about leaving him behind Wind noise - only very slight when you turn your head to the side We rode for 29 miles - battery was still good when we got back to the car

Was able to contact Sena via their online chat. My issues have been resolved! *TRIED* contacting the vendor via their website, however... you need to fill out a form. NBD there and I complied. However... the form requires, but does NOT acknowledge "R1". Therefore... I cannot submit questions directly to the vendor. My statement to Sena was: SCEANRIO 1. purchase 2, R1-ET00M01's, via Amazon on May 29th, 2022 2. When the helmets work, they're awesome! 3. As a whole we don't use the helmets because... they seem to require repairing every single time we want to use them ( to much of a PITA, Pain In The A$$ ) to go through that every time QUESTOPNS: 1. Are our issues a common thing... ? 2. Would a firmware upgrade address these issues... ? 3. Is there something that we should/shouldn't be doing to prevent re-pairing every time... ? BTW - providing a copy of the sales receipt, OK (but PITA). providing a photo of the serial number, no idea where it is and WAY, way beyond the amount of effort that I want to spend dinking around on this! in trying to submit this, apparently the "Model Number -or- Product Number" ( R1-ET00M01 ) that I entered isn't correct, again, another PITA
