The Outrush R is a Bluetooth modular motorcycle helmet that features seamless integration of Sena’s world-class audio Bluetooth system. The Outrush R comes complete with a sleek and versatile modular design, integrated speakers and a microphone, and smartphone pairing to access music and phone on your ride. Powered by Bluetooth 5.0, the Outrush R features 4-way Intercom, allowing up to four riders to pair their Sena Bluetooth devices to one another. Additionally, when connecting to just one other rider, users will experience 2-way HD Intercom, which will enhance the audio quality on the trip. Users can expect an impressive 900-meter (0.5 miles) intercom range and a talk time of up to 12 hours with the Outrush R. This item complies with US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 (FMVSS 218) (DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certified).

I’ve got about 1000 miles on the helmet now, and wanted leave an honest review about the helmet. The build quality is pretty good but it could use better venting. The chin bar and windscreen both have good, positive positions and will hold wherever you leave them at highway speeds. The windscreen is very good, in quality. Wind noise is more than I thought it would be and this hurts the audio quality. At highway speeds with the audio all the way up, you can barely make out the music. You can hear on phone calls, but it is very distorted. The person on the other line can hear you very well, so the noise suppression is pretty good. I read a lot of reviews before purchase and one thing everyone mentioned is to be sure and order a size up. I shouldn’t have done that. Medium is my normal size and Sena’s large is a little bigger on me than I prefer. My riding glasses become very irritating after a short time in this helmet and they’ve never bothered me in my other fullface helmets that actually fit tighter, so I’m thinking it’s the design of the helmet around the ear area… this could be intentional to better seal around the ear to improve audio clarity, but if that’s the case, I’d have opted for more room because as said before, the audio quality just isn’t there as I expected from Sena. All of that being said, for the money, it’s as good as can be expected. Just be sure your expectations are reasonable. ... show more

Love this helmet. Live in the sweltering summers and humidity of Louisiana. Bought a cheap and durable helmet to test drive my now new motorcycle, but I needed something with more airflow and technology. Has a companion app for the helmet so you can play music AND have your navigation going at the same time! Also, links up with your buddies while on a long ride. love that the helmet is rated to have the chin portion up and locked in place while riding for those days you want to feel the fresh air on your face. Absolutely love the hands-free phone calling. Was on my way home after dark when my elderly neighbor called to check in on me... about halfway through the call, I asked how the call sounded ( as I had the front part of the helmet up and locked in place, was doing around 60 mph down the Hwy and was 100% hands-free and full attention to the road; while I was also taking his call. Blew his mind! I had looked at a similar style helmet from Germany, which cost 3-4 times what this one does ( once you get the helmet and the BT kit that is built for it specifically). I just couldn't see myself parting with so much money at this time, had just graduated from The Harley Driving Academy in the literally hottest part of the summer this year... and almost had a heat stroke. I did my homework and found this exact same helmet that some slap a logo on and charge twice as much for just over $200. I would absolutely purchase this helmet again! This issue has been reported to SENA, case # 537870. I ordered two of these. The first and second helmets arrived as seen in picture I. The part missing is seen in picture III. I just noticed, on a hot day, that I was unable to open the vent. I went back and watched some reviews of this helmet. That is when I noticed the part was missing. I then ordered a replacement helmet and found the policy that helmets must be returned unworn. The missing part, part III allows the vent to open. The second one arrived with the exact same problem. As it turned out, on examination of the packaging, I found part III loose in the packaging of the second one. The first one never had it. I took the part from the packaging and installed it in the first helmet so that I could return the second one. To install it you will need to: First remove the visor, as explained in the videos Second, Remove the chin-bar, two screws that are visible under the visor. Third, remove the inner cover from the chin bar. There are five screws in the locations shown in image IV. Note, in Image IV, the inner cover has already been removed. Fourth, remove the foam, shown in image IV, from the chin bar. Fifth, squeeze the pin shown in image II with a pair of pliers and press the vent assembly out. Note that there are also three tabs holding the vent assembly in place. Six, press the back of the vent assembly as you push part IiI into the front of the vent assembly, as seen in picture V. Seven, When reassembling, be sure to get the seal over the vent assembly, as seen in image VI. Otherwise, it will not go back together. Eight. reassemble. Remember, the screws in the chin bar are going into plastic. Be sure to avoid overtightening them. Summary. I like the helmet. The Bluetooth is easy to use and it seems to work well. That said, when two out of two arrived with the same piece having fallen off, I can not give this helmet a good review. I also need to add. There are claims that this helmet has FM radio built-in. I have read the instructions several times, and I have watched the videos that touch on it. As far as I can discern, this helmet does not have an FM receiver built into it. ... show more

Pickup truck pulled out in front of me & I hit going 55mph & my body flew 20 feet into the ditch. I have a collapsed right lung, broken ribs & fractured leg & ankle, bruised back, kidney and liver. Surprisingly my neck and head feels perfectly fine like nothing happened. I was even life flighted to the hospital with all the body pain on my right side but my head. Definitely will buy again.
