Description

The Outrush R is a Bluetooth modular motorcycle helmet that features seamless integration of Sena’s world-class audio Bluetooth system. The Outrush R comes complete with a sleek and versatile modular design, integrated speakers and a microphone, and smartphone pairing to access music and phone on your ride. Powered by Bluetooth 5.0, the Outrush R features 4-way Intercom, allowing up to four riders to pair their Sena Bluetooth devices to one another. Additionally, when connecting to just one other rider, users will experience 2-way HD Intercom, which will enhance the audio quality on the trip. Users can expect an impressive 900-meter (0.5 miles) intercom range and a talk time of up to 12 hours with the Outrush R. This item complies with US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 (FMVSS 218) (DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certified).

Fantastic helmet!!! Very light, foam does not feel stiff at all!! Controls for the helmet (visor and sun-shades) are very easy to grab and work!! The mic is quite fantastic!! Definitely have to make sure it is inside the helmet with the wind chin cover. Audio system isn’t the most amazing but it’s also a $250 helmet. With that being said, still an amazing audio system! The media could not be loaded. Bought one size up and it fits perfect. Excellent Helmet for the money. Fit and finish is excellent. Everything seems to function perfectly. I’ve only used it a few times in warm weather, I wish there was more air vents to open on warm days. Bluetooth connected to my phone instantly, call quality is excellent, speakers are more than adequate, can’t raise the volume all the way otherwise it’s to loud. Love this helmet. Live in the sweltering summers and humidity of Louisiana. Bought a cheap and durable helmet to test drive my now new motorcycle, but I needed something with more airflow and technology. Has a companion app for the helmet so you can play music AND have your navigation going at the same time! Also, links up with your buddies while on a long ride. love that the helmet is rated to have the chin portion up and locked in place while riding for those days you want to feel the fresh air on your face. Absolutely love the hands-free phone calling. Was on my way home after dark when my elderly neighbor called to check in on me... about halfway through the call, I asked how the call sounded ( as I had the front part of the helmet up and locked in place, was doing around 60 mph down the Hwy and was 100% hands-free and full attention to the road; while I was also taking his call. Blew his mind! I had looked at a similar style helmet from Germany, which cost 3-4 times what this one does ( once you get the helmet and the BT kit that is built for it specifically). I just couldn't see myself parting with so much money at this time, had just graduated from The Harley Driving Academy in the literally hottest part of the summer this year... and almost had a heat stroke. I did my homework and found this exact same helmet that some slap a logo on and charge twice as much for just over $200. I would absolutely purchase this helmet again! After reading previous reviews about the sizing of this helmet, I bought one 1 size larger. My head is small, 56, so I bought a medium. There is a review that the writer went 2 sizes larger, and I don't think that's a bad idea at all. Mine fits very snug. And after wearing it a little while, the foam pads will relax a little, and it will conform perfectly. The Sena bluetooth is simple and low profile; easy to use. The sound system is more than adequate for voice. I wish the speakers had better base response for listening to music.... Other than that, this is a great helmet at this price point. ... show more

This issue has been reported to SENA, case # 537870. I ordered two of these. The first and second helmets arrived as seen in picture I. The part missing is seen in picture III. I just noticed, on a hot day, that I was unable to open the vent. I went back and watched some reviews of this helmet. That is when I noticed the part was missing. I then ordered a replacement helmet and found the policy that helmets must be returned unworn. The missing part, part III allows the vent to open. The second one arrived with the exact same problem. As it turned out, on examination of the packaging, I found part III loose in the packaging of the second one. The first one never had it. I took the part from the packaging and installed it in the first helmet so that I could return the second one. To install it you will need to: First remove the visor, as explained in the videos Second, Remove the chin-bar, two screws that are visible under the visor. Third, remove the inner cover from the chin bar. There are five screws in the locations shown in image IV. Note, in Image IV, the inner cover has already been removed. Fourth, remove the foam, shown in image IV, from the chin bar. Fifth, squeeze the pin shown in image II with a pair of pliers and press the vent assembly out. Note that there are also three tabs holding the vent assembly in place. Six, press the back of the vent assembly as you push part IiI into the front of the vent assembly, as seen in picture V. Seven, When reassembling, be sure to get the seal over the vent assembly, as seen in image VI. Otherwise, it will not go back together. Eight. reassemble. Remember, the screws in the chin bar are going into plastic. Be sure to avoid overtightening them. Summary. I like the helmet. The Bluetooth is easy to use and it seems to work well. That said, when two out of two arrived with the same piece having fallen off, I can not give this helmet a good review. I also need to add. There are claims that this helmet has FM radio built-in. I have read the instructions several times, and I have watched the videos that touch on it. As far as I can discern, this helmet does not have an FM receiver built into it. ... show more
