I have only been playing for 5-6 months with a starter paddle. Wanted to see if new paddle would improve my game. It has helped with control and power. The he handle is a bit shorter then I would like, but still a great paddle . Selkirk is a great name and well crafted paddle

Update 10/6/23: After a few back and forths with Selkirk customer service they did send me the cover that had been promoted at the time of my order (which wasn't initally included). It can be a bit challenging when dealing directly with the seller sometimes through amazon and honestly, I think that was the main problem with getting my issue dealt with quickly. Anyway, kudos to Selkirk for making it right. ====== A good beginner to intermediate paddle for the money. I just wish they had sent me the cover they were promoting as free with the purchase of this paddle back when I bought it. I messaged Selkirk about this shortly after my purchase but never heard back. Strange based on all of the good things I've heard about Selkirk customer service. Oh, well.

Wanted to wait a while to write a review. Bought this paddle for my wife and she said that the handle is perfect for her comfortable and the weight is perfect. The overall paddle size area worked well for her improving her game. Prior to the Selkirk paddle she tried PROKENNEX Pro Flight Pickleball Paddle which was too light which resulted in having to put much more effort into swings and she ultimately returned the Prokennex. It all comes down to personal preference.

Selkirk consistently produces high quality paddles across a spectrum of price points. This was purchased as a gift for an athletic young man who is just starting to pick up pickleball. It isn't the highest quality selkirk paddle, but it will provide him with a sense of how higher quality, carbon fiber paddles perform.

I love this paddle. the handle is shorter, which helps with control. It doesn't have as much power, but I don't mind. For reference, my husband does not like to use it because the handle is aliitle small for his bigger hands.
