I'm using these to make routing connections on a patch bay in my portable recording rig and they work well for that purpose. I tested each cable when I got them and all tested fine. I like the connectors because they can be opened up for inspection if there is a problem and the wiring needs to be resoldered. Since the patch cables going into the patch bay are constantly being plugged and unplugged it's important to me that they are repairable if needed. So far that has not been required. I much prefer this to the common trend of permanently-sealed plastic connectors, which I'm expected to throw away and re-purchase once they fail, apparently.
