This is a pretty great desk for the price. I love all the little features it has from the peg board to the cubby holes and the slide out tray. Gives it more personality than your standard desk. In terms of building it, the process was smooth. All the parts and instructions were labelled, making it easy to figure out what needed to go where. You should be able to build it over an evening within a few hours. I do suggest finding a person to help you with building since it will make holding the longer parts in place much easier. Overall, this is a fantastically built desk with plenty of room. I’ll start with the pros, and then touch on a few of the cons. I appreciate that there are three ways to configure this desk: right L-shape, left L-shape, or straight. It makes the desk much more versatile in terms of where it can be placed. Assembly took me about three and a half hours, working alone. The directions were actually very clear, which is a huge bonus—anyone who has purchased furniture on Amazon knows the instructions are often impossible to decipher. The manufacturer made sure the pieces were clearly labeled and accurately depicted in the manual. The desk itself feels very sturdy. I currently have two 32" curved monitors stacked on a mount, and there are absolutely no signs of strain on the desk. The PC cubby is pretty small for a full ATX tower. However, one thing the manual doesn't explicitly mention is that you can simply leave out the middle shelf and its two crossbars. This gives you 26 inches of vertical clearance instead of the standard 19 inches, which solved the problem for me. When putting it together, definitely heed the manual’s warning: do not over-tighten the screws, or you will crack the wood. They aren't kidding. While I luckily didn't break anything, it is incredibly easy to overdo it. Even trying to make things just "snug" felt like pushing it. If you purchase this, stop tightening the moment you feel any resistance. Now for the few things I didn't love. The pull-out keyboard tray was actually the main reason I chose this desk over the slightly more expensive SEDETA L-shaped desk. SEDETA did a great job labeling the dimensions for almost everything, but the keyboard tray size was mysteriously absent or hard to find. The tray is 22 inches wide and about 10.5 inches deep. I use a full-size keyboard that is 17 inches wide, which leaves virtually no room for a mouse (less than 5 inches of space, most of which the mouse occupies). Had I known this, I would have opted for a desk with shelves in that spot instead. But with furniture like this, it’s too much of a hassle to disassemble and return it, so I’m just dealing with it. The desk does come with an adhesive LED light strip. It’s a convenient addition, but honestly, don't even bother with the app. I wasted an hour trying to get the lights to sync. There are no instructions on how to put the lights into pairing mode, and the app doesn't automatically detect them. It seems to be a generic app used for various cheap Chinese LEDs, and it offers zero troubleshooting help. However, even without the app, the lights are fine. The inline controller lets you choose from a few solid colors, a chaotic RGB cycling mode, and a sound-reactive mode. The sound-reactive mode actually works surprisingly well, picking up my voice or music playing through the speakers. Even with those caveats, this is an excellent desk. For the price, it’s an easy recommendation! One last note: it only comes with 5 hooks, but there's a lot of real estate to hang things. Desk isn't decorated yet, but set up was pretty easy - two teenagers put it together in about an hour. Great size and quality so far seems good, sturdy! The light strip seems like it is supposed to be sticky but isn't? I just used some command strips and it's very nice. (Don't pay attention to the light sagging in the photo, I had to take it off to attach the monitor mount and forgot to put it back up when I took the photo) Only complaint is that light strip could be longer, but it think it's really meant to go under the hutch. Oh, and the extension cord for the outlet is not very long. You can easily install a different one though ... show more

I moved and decided to replace my old childhood desk with something new. Kinda regret this buy not gonna lie... The quality isn't too bad nor am I really upset with it, but it's pretty flimsy feeling. Aside from the RGB lights it came with not working at all, my main disappointment came from how smaller it was in person. Desk still works and I don't plan to replace it any time soon, but this is honestly a more lightweight desk than I was hoping for. Perfect for smaller places though. ... show more
