This SEDETA farmhouse executive desk is a brilliant piece of office furniture that provides a massive upgrade to any work-from-home setup. I would easily give it 5 stars for the final product, but I'm dropping it to 4 stars solely due to the extreme difficulty of the build process. Pros: Health Lifesaver: The motorized height adjustment works flawlessly. Transitioning seamlessly from sitting to standing throughout the day is a genuine life saver for core and back comfort. Sturdiness: Even when raised up to standing height, the desk remains remarkably stable with minimal wobble, which is impressive given its large L-shaped footprint. Storage: The executive layout provides ample room to stay organized. The Cons / Assembly Warning: Solo Build Time: Putting this together by myself was an enormous undertaking. It took about 16 hours of solo labor from unboxing to plugging it in. Heavy Lifting: Because of the desk's size and the weight of the dual motor frame components, maneuvering the pieces to align the holes is incredibly taxing for one person. My Advice: If you buy this, highly consider recruiting a friend or family member to help. Having a second pair of hands to hold pieces in place would easily cut the assembly time in half. If you have the patience to get through the grueling setup, you will be rewarded with an absolute dream of a desk!

Yes, this takes awhile to put together but it’s well worth it! Follow the directions closely and I do suggest watching the videos as well. If the legs for the standing part end up wrong - you can take them out without damaging any shelves. There is a notch and as long as you make sure that notch aligns; you’re good to go. Shipping is fast with two separate boxes coming. You cannot start assembly without both boxes being present. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase and highly recommend it!

Honestly, I purchased this desk because my husband and I moved into a new house and left behind a built in desk that I pretty much “owned.” We needed something that we could share, and I wanted a desk that could transition from sitting to standing when I teach from home (ugh) for a university. This desk had caught my eye when we were in the building phases of the new home, and when my husband mentioned that he wanted desk space, this was the one we went with because we could configure it to be one long desk against a wall. It works great for the both of us to be working at it at the same time. The only drawback is the limited drawer space. We are learning to purge and still need to do more, but storage space is at a premium. Being teachers we need space for books, which this doesn’t quite have. But that is an us problem. The standing desk portion moves up and down smoothly. I feel that the quality is great for the price we paid. My husband did have help putting the desk together because there were 67 pages of instructions, which makes sense. I think he said it took 4 hours with help to put together (I was conveniently at work). The desk looks good in the new house and I am in the process of talking him into getting the “matching” bookshelves.

Desk is solid and sturdy once all put together. I really love that the bottom feet came with plastic protectors installed. I’m pretty impressed with the feel and weight of the top wood, and the color goes really well together. Assembly was mostly straight forward, but will take a long time with the tools in the box. I opted to use some tools I had to speed it up, but took about 2.5 hours by myself. You definitely can build this alone, but may be helpful to have one other when standing it up. Other reviews were correct that the standing motor is upside down in the first instruction - however, if you follow the photos of how the motor installs to the desk and replicate that orientation, install is smooth. 3 presets are nice to have. I found I only used 2; 75 (to match height of other section) and 115 for standing. Motor is smooth and strong, has no issues lifting my multiple monitor.

I ordered 2 of these. Yes, I now literally have over 10 hours of desk building experience... thank you Sedeta... needed that. Everything I mention here is a problem on boths desks. Consequently, I can only assueme that these issues will be consistent across this entire line of desks... I had to choose 1 star because had I not spent another $250 in materials, I would've had to return both of these and waste so much more time. *I should've returned both of these. So, obviously, the MDF is pretty cheap. The plastic coated finish on the MDF is very thin and chips easily. There is some play in the desk when extended that causes it to wobble. This is due to the loose tolerances, allowing movement around where the legs fit into the desk. The drawer slides are the cheapest possible slides and the drawers constantly fall off the tracks. The handles are the same and they are burred up so watch your hands/knees. Things I had to change so that I wouldn't have to tear apart 2 desks to return them: 1. Replace the desk slides. You'll need 3-14" slides. I ordered "Ravinte 14 Inch Soft Close Drawer Slides". Cost about $50. I mounted the cabinet side in the same holes, and and had to mark to drill the 3rd. Then marked and screwed the drawer side to the drawers, starting with the 2 height adjustable ones first. 2. Replace the drawer pulls. They measure at 3-3/4" on center. I ordered "Ravinte 10 Pack 3-3/4 Inch Kitchen Square Cabinet Handles". You'll need 4 per desk. 3. Use shims and a little adhesive to brace your legs. I used plastic door shims. Shown in picture. Just a small shim to tighten the gap. 4. Add a 16-1/8" x 59-3/8" x 1/2" thick piece of plywood in between the metal rail and the desk to add some rigidity if you plan to use monitor arms. The 1/2" MDF has way too much flex in it. I used 5mm dowel centers and a rubber mallet to mark the holes. You will also need to order longer M6 bolts. I ordered 15-M6x60mm bolts. The last picture shows how the painted piece of plywood looks. 5. For the back and forth wobble, you will need to order flat head beveled M6 bolts to replace the bolts that secure the metal frame to the height adjustable legs. The holes that were drilled are too large, and this causes there table top to move back and forth with any weight over 40 lbs. Other than that, its a decent sized $400(+$250) desk. I just wish they offered a higher tier for better materials. It has been 2 weeks, amd I still haven't been able to fully use it and I'm having to add reinforcement everywhere so that this desk will last longer than a few months to a year... Great design, great layout, but terrible cheap materials. If you follow the instructions, you'll luckily only have to do it once. They tried to make it stupid proof by calling out the direction of the board when it would otherwise be impossible to tell. Prepare to waste a day building it.

Realm quite disappointed in this desk. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the electric riser is cool. It was SO MUCH work to put together—so many little bitty pieces and an insane number of steps. The drawers and door open and close cheaply. The worst part is the side that is not shown in the pictures is not finished. It looks like it belongs against a wall (even though it isn’t against one in the picture), and that is the side that faces the doorway in my office. I would 100% request a refund and send it back if I could convince someone to take it apart but it’s just too much trouble so I’m stuck with it. I don’t recommend this desk.

I love it now that it’s assembled but the material is pretty cheap so I hope this holds up to my constant use. I did have one broken piece in the box but did not have time to wait for a replacement so I glued it and I’m hoping for the best. Now let’s talk about assembly, this thing is an absolute bear to assemble! It took two people over five hours to complete this task and let’s just say if you’re doing it with your husband or wife you better be ready for a few choice words shared between the two of you. Once we got past assembly, everything was fine. Just want give anybody who is considering this purchase a huge heads up that this is not a two hour easy Peezy job. Both my husband and I are very good at assembling items of this nature, but this one was definitely a challenge.
