It's a cool desk and is much more solid feeling than some of it's competitors. The only knock I would have on it is the instructions for installing the lifting motor. The picture shows the cord to the motor coming out of the top during the assembly, but in reality, it should be pictured on the bottom. Otherwise, it's backwards if you install it like the picture shows. Other than that, it was easy enough to assemble and the end product is quite good. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Negatives : The depth of the desktop. Height of the desk. Takes a very long time to assemble . Positives : lift, appearance , and plugs on top of desk. When shipped it arrives in two separate boxes on two separate days .

Well, I wasn't certain what to expect at this price point ($400). Overall, I'm very pleased. Below is a recap of our experience setting it up: Pros - * Quick shipping - We live in the PNW and received the 2 boxes from California in a few days. * Boxes - were in good shape. The desk materials are well packed in 2 boxes. * Looks like the pictures on the product page. * Install is straightforward, but DOES take a while. It took one person about 5 hours. * All pieces and parts are numbered and match the install guide. * Motor (up/down) is quiet and smooth. Watch the video as a guide, but follow the guide which is backwards. Cons - * You get what you pay for. Maybe this isn't a con, but the desk is ok for what you pay. * Overall the desk looks a bit cheap (mostly the left side). Dorm room? Special Notes: * Ensure the desk is square when complete. If not, when you lower the desktop it will hit on the right side of the desk. * Installation - Remove all parts and lay out to make identification easier. * Give yourself plenty of time. The desk is made of materials used these days - particle board. * Don't over tighten, but instead get screws started - then tighten when you have pieces together (ie. a drawer or panel). ... show more
