This desk is rather amazing, it's large and sturdy and it looks really good. Definitely worth the price, the only thing I will say is that it is time-consuming to build it. Which I figured was the case given all the drawers. Anything with drawers is going to be hard to build though. It took me 7 hours to build this but I took my time, I didn't make any big mistakes, it turned out perfectly. And also I don't build things very often so if I can build this, I'm pretty sure anyone can. It's just is time consuming and you have to really pay attention to the photos because it doesn't have much description other than photos to go off of. So take it easy and carefully look over the photos before deciding to put something together because otherwise you'll get something wrong and have to unscrew it and turn it around or something. ... show more

We asked a lot of this desk! We needed a very well built, sturdy desk that was solid wood (so no critters like kittens or even mice could get in, like fabric drawer desks allow), plenty of drawers and other built in storage space, an electrical center...AND enough room to comfortably put a 35" high, 35" wide and 11&7/8 inch deep book shelf, and still have desk room in front of the bookshelf to work. It is beautiful. We read a majority of reviews, and decided to get this one. Each box had its own set of instructions. The boxes arrived undamaged. All pieces and hardware were in each box. It took about 6.5hrs from starting the unpacking to the finished product. This desk delivered! My daughter's tip: USE A DRILL IF YOU CAN!. After two hours of using their Allen wrench, she broke out her drill and two drill bits: a phillips bit and a hex bit. It was a lot easier on her hands, after that. I really liked the way this desk was laid out and the black on white. The look has not disappointed! It looks like an expensive piece, although the price was very reasonable. The L shape is great and there's plenty of space on the surface and in the drawers for all your office supplies, some hanging folders, etc. It's quite large without taking up too much space in my home office. I am very pleased with it, but there is one big drawback - assembly! It is a BIG project! Not one single screw is in place when it arrives. Even the rails on the drawers have to be fitted together. Some of the steps in the directions (mainly just pictures) are not that easy to understand, so we had to undo and redo some of the installation to get things right. In the end, we couldn't figure out how to get the last drawer installed without knocking the ball bearings off the rail and we couldn't put it back together as it was intended. Thankfully it still works pretty well. The other thing that could be improved is securing the cable to the included power strip. There's no hook to hang it on, so it was hanging where I put my feet. We needed to add a hook underneath so I don't get tangled up in it. It would be better if there were some plastic hooks on the backside for cabling. My recommendation is only buy this if you have the time and motivation to assemble it piece by piece. You can see from the photos that there are a LOT of pieces. We spent a solid 8 - 10 hours working on it. You will need 2 people for some of the installation and to move it into place. It's heavy when completed. ... show more

    • STURDY DESK BEAUTIFUL DESIGN AND VERY SOLID!!

First of all, they say you must have two people to assemble this desk and while I agree to that, I did assemble it by myself (I am 65 with disabilities) over two days (a total of about 7-8 hours). When I received the boxes (two), the outside edges were a little worn and tattered but because of the foam and packaging, the pieces of the desk were intact with no damage at all. The company gives you more than enough screws to assemble the desk. Following the assembly instructions, which I though were pretty thorough, this desk can be assembled solo but a second hand to hold a part steady or to help roll the separate desk units over is helpful. Once assembled the desk is very solid and sturdy and it has a beautiful design to it. I added my own under desk lights to see backup power supply I put underneath the desk. This desk has plenty of room to move around and work multiple tasks. While some of the drawers are a little bit hard to move in and out, the desk is new and they have to be worked in. The desk is very functional, easy to move, does require some time to assemble (which is expected), i only had one small defect on my cabinet door which is a crack when we opened the box. It doesnt effect the use or assembly of the product but I will be reaching out to see if it can be replaced. Overall I would recommend to anyone that is looking for office furniture at a great price and still has the quality of the expensive options. ... show more

I don’t think I would buy this desk if I had the opportunity. It’s flimsy, difficult to put together, and overall, the quality is just not worth the cost. Description said it will hold 300lbs. I wouldn’t put 50lbs on it and expect it to hold securely. There’s no support for the part where the two desk pieces meet so I’m not sure how they expect it to function properly.
