I was concerned the plunger-diameter wouldn't enclose my raw-water strainer, but it (fortunately) does fit my 1" intake strainers for my generator and my air-conditioning exchangers. Note: this does NOT fit around my 2" engine intake strainers. The concept of this plunger is perfect, but execution has a couple flaws. Even with these flaws though, I was able to get enough water to my A/C pump to run it on land for servicing: - The rubber doesn't seal very well to rough-textured bottom paint - The middle of the plunger is too flexible (yes, like a toilet-plunger, which is designed to flex). The problem with flexing in the middle is, you can't get enough pressure on the pole to force (60PSI) water into the intake, because it will flex itself off the hull's seal I'm interested to see how this holds-up to pink-antifreeze (alcohol); I predict not well ... show more
