It sticks out from the wall quite a bit. I didn't think it through completely before mounting it where I did. I bump into it on occasion. To mount it, you place 2 screws in the wall and then slide the turtle down into the screw heads. It does become a little loose if it gets bumped... It is really cute though!! ... show more

The quality of the piece is great itself, but the white distressing came off to the touch. When I opened the plastic it came in, I noticed a powdery substance. When I took it out my hands were white with the substance. I immediately cleaned my hands and ent to wipe the piece down, only to find that the paint literally wiped off.
