UPDATE, The chain now has a knot in it and due to the thinness of it I can't undo it. I waited a couple of weeks before submitting a review. So, while wearing this chain with charm on me, I shower, I workout heavily at the gym, and I use perfume around my neck and there is no tarnish, no chipping on anywhere (chain or charm), and no dullness. It has remained with the same luster and shine as it arrived. Also, when I received the item, I took it to have it looked by a jeweler who confirmed it is 925 sterling silver, even though the item has the 925 stamp on both the chain and charm. Also, I am an adult, and the size of the charm and the length of the chain is perfect !! Plus, I get a lot of compliments on it. The only down part of this item, and it's not really a big deal, is the small loop that connects with the closure clasp. You will either need to put on your chain in front of a mirror or do as I do by touch. I am adding photos so that you can see the item from front/back, including me wearing it.
