This item looks and works exactly like I hoped. I got it so I could check the SD cards from my trail camera using my phone in the woods, but also found it useful for quickly getting photos from a micro SD card(it's the same as a TF card) from an old phone and moving them to a USB drive. It seems well built. The only thing that I don't really like is the exposed terminals on the lightning connector if I'm using the USB-C connector... but I can live with that. It's nice to have the option for either connection. I'll probably just 3d print a little cap to cover it when not in use. One final note: while it is super easy to plug in and use... make sure you follow the best practice for all USB drives and un-mount/eject the "usb drive" from your phone before unplugging or removing the card. My phone did NOT like when I just un-plugged it or removed the card after use. ... show more

I plugged this into my iPhone 16 and my Lenovo laptop and the device was automatically recognized and ready to use. Has three ports for USB or micro SD card and Micro SD adapter. This didn't work out for me. When it comes to data and electronics, I need accessories that just work without any weird workarounds. To test this reader, I popped the (admittedly large) microSD card out of my action camera, plugged it in, and then plugged the adapter into my Android phone. It wouldn't recognize it and didn't show that a USB device was plugged in, even after restarting. When I plugged it in to my PC, it beeped and made the noise like a new device was being plugged in, but I kept getting a "device has malfunctioned" error. I ended up having to reformat the microSD card, but the issues continued. I tried a different (smaller) memory card, thinking that 128GB was just too much, but that didn't solve the issues. Having said that, it worked great with I plugged the Lightning cable into my Apple device. Anyway, I won't be keeping this because I can't trust it to work across all my devices, and that's an important thing to me. Maybe other users with different devices or Android versions will have better luck. ... show more

iPhone won't read this. I am going to try a few tricks. Use a usbc cord and can update from there. The use is easy however it does not currently work with my set up. Checking in a few items off the website to see if I can troubleshoot! Ports fit well. Size is perfect and great for travel. I really want to offload all the photos on my phone. Will update review with further information when that becomes available. The price point is good however if it doesn't work then not great. You can spend another 2 dollars and get a solidly reviewed items. As port and tf port. Also the usb port! Hopeful that I can get it to work well if so Otis a great deal for the price! ... show more

Advertised as a USB-3 device but it's ONLY USB-2 data transfer when in use on my computers - and then only across usb-2 devices through computer usb-2 ports. NOTE: Crashes plugged into USB 3 ports on Benchmark/data xfr Tests. Moved adapter to Linux 24.04.03 laptop to test with more precision; here's my results. In a Nutshell: CRASHED trying to move data from a USB thumbdrive to a USB 3 laptop port.
